Victoria and her amazing team made me feel very welcome, provided delicious food and drink, and definitely went above and beyond. The accommodation was absolutely first class and I would highly recommend this excellent place. Needless to say I shall be returning.

Had such a good meal here, we went as a treat and it exceeded our expectations with homemade fresh bread and butter being served before a super tasty and inventive main course. Prices were really reasonable for the quality of the meal and produce, drinks also, and only a few pounds more than you would expect to pay for a bang average pub meal. Definitely value for money, great staff and lovely setting.

We took our son and partner for Sunday lunch, all four of us had the Sirlion roast which was simply the best beef roast we ever had. The meat portion was really good but the beef was so tasty and beautifully cooked, accompanied by roast potatoes and veg which were perfect. Service and setting was perfect, thank you team Barrington Boar.

We recently dined at the Barrington Boar and found the entire experience first class. A short walk from our fabulous accommodation (Hectors House, best AirBnB we?ve ever stayed at) we were met by the delightful host Victoria. We were served probably the best bread EVER from the bakery next door (same owners) my wife had the cold soup I had duck parfait followed by duck breast. My wife had the sirloin. I must say my duck was cooked perfectly, lovely and pink. Great service and great food. So impressive. Thank you Victoria and Chef Alasdair and staff. We?ll be back

Lovely pub and restaurant in a beautiful area. Staff were delightful and gave us a realistic estimate of how long our food would take. We had a fish & chips, pulled veal shoulder and chicken kebab, all amazingly tasty and well presented. Followed up with the cheese platter, a very good choice of local cheese. Would highly recommend.

Only the second time we have dined and stopped over at The Barrington Boar in the last 12 months (and, indeed ever) and both times have been wonderful. Run by husband and wife team, Alasdair Clifford and Victoria Collins, it's good to see Alasdair in his whites (which are a very smart blue) moving back and forth between the pub and the bakery, demonstrating his hands-on approach to what's going on, while Victoria was seen with cleaning baskets in each hand (no wonder those rooms are spotlessly clean!). And the staff they employ, at least all the ones we have encountered on both visits, have all been superb and so helpful. They get perfect scores because I would want to detract from the 5-star treatment we felt we received, but nothing can ever be perfect and the two outstanding improvements would be fridges in the rooms and, if air-con is not viable, at least a fan, but that does not detract from the wonderful food and service we enjoyed.

What a rip off no wonder the locals don?t go to this pub, to expensive , food is a joke , rubbish selection of beer and cider would not recommend this place to my worst enemy

Absolutely one of the best restaurants in the area, consistently good ? there must be a wonderful team in the kitchen! Service is great and they even get a note from the Michelin guide!

Went for lunch, so my choice was fish and chips, which seemed like the least interesting out of the numerous dishes that sounded fabulous. However, I was pleased with my choice as it was very tasty. Not greasy, good chunky fish that was super soft and flavoursome. The peas were very complimentary and tasted delicious. The pub has been very tastefully decorated and is in a delightful village so really quite lovely.

Just went for a, Sunday lunch birthday celebration.
Had to book. Very busy.
Staff had little knowledge of their food. Our gravy came on our meals and not seperatley which I wish I'd know as, would have asked for it to be in a gravy boat. Table had to ask for more gravy which was brought out.
Table not ready with condiments so waiting whilst these are brought to you.
Pudding I ordered tart tatin and it was not nice, just burnt taste. Sent it back and had other sweet instead.
Wine was nice.
Realised charged extra £3 for the extra gravy!
On the whole considering it's reviews our table of 8 were mainly disappointed.
