We arrived without booking after seeing the 'kids eat of £1' offer advertised on Facebook. We didn't received a friendly welcome, the lady behind the bar didn't know if they were serving food, there weren't any menus ready and we stood at the bar for ages waiting for her to decide if we could stay! BUT once we did get seated things picked up. The adults ordered from the Lite Bites menu and I had a delicious brie, bacon and cranberry baguette and chips, which was presented beautifully. Kids meals were big portions. Everyone loved their food. I was disappointed at the dessert menu as the pub advertises lots of amazing cheesecakes etc on Facebook and none of these were available. We nearly left after the initial impressions, but we were glad we stayed and would visit again hoping to try one of the desserts.

The worst meal out I've had in years. The plates set in front of us looked like a child's first attempt at reheating something from the freezer. Baffled at the 5-star reviews, clearly a change of personnel in the kitchen.

Short notice booking for family of nine of all ages late into the afternoon, two extra family deciding to join us, table extended none of this was a problem. From our arrival we were made to feel welcome. Service was relaxed but effficient and our starters and main course (Sunday roast) were served timely but not rushed. The meals were hot, fresh, good portions and all agreed was one of the best roasts we had enjoyed for a long time Well done chef, well done team Faukland and thanks for a Wonderfull Sunday afternoon

I booked into this place as a solo resident while on a course in Bath, over a few weekends this year. This place is a cracking find. Beautiful location not far from Bath The staff are so welcoming and friendly. They really looked after me as I was on my own The food is really excellent pub food. Make sure you have a good appetite because the portions and huge. The room was basic but immaculately clean. It had a massive shower and somewhere to sit and watch TV on an evening after eating in the restaurant and having a glass of wine or two in the pub Will definitely be going back

Great friendly, traditional family pub. Staff extremely helpful and friendly. We ended up here instead of our usual destination for a Sunday Lunch and oh my so glad we did. The Sunday roast knocks the socks off most Sunday Roasts in the area. We shall be back and can?t wait to try the main menu too. Great selection of fine wine, beer, cider etc. Waiting staff very helpful and friendly. It was also lovely to see the locals out supporting this great place. I won?t be leaving it 10yrs before my next visit. Thank you all at the Faulkland Inn.

What a wonderful local pub!! We were at the new years eve party and what a great night! A lovely friendly night and a free buffet put on by Tina was fabulous. Always great company and great food. Thoroughly recommend this pub to everyone

Would leave no stars if possible. Was left blissfully unaware that this pub was still going as last I knew it was shutting down due to cost of living crisis (information I was personally glad to hear and was even posted through my front door) until on new year's eve whilst looking at local events I was informed of a firework display offered not publicly but privately, an event to which they didn't deem it necessary to inform the nearby residents. My wife then wrote to the owner via email to show our displeasure about this event in a bid to get a human response. Owing to the fact that it has resulted in severe injury to our daughters beloved pet in the past. This was met with (I assume) a very drunk or arrogantly rude response, not only has this lowered my expectations of the pub but has left my wife's PTSD going nuts to the point where (in my opinion) the establishment should be forced to close. Again last night the pub inflicted injury on the very same beloved pet when there overly loud fireworks went off! Don't you know you can actually get noiseless fireworks, kinder on the farmers livestock as well as domestic pets. This very traumatised family pet then proceeded to knock over a tank containing more family pets. So we were left to deal with the aftermath of there private event until 4am! I wouldn't recommend this pub to anyone simply because the owners are arrogant, mean and less than understanding of disability, they serve such overpriced food that if you can actually afford it, you obviously have a fair amount of excess money in this cost of living crisis and it would be far better spent helping a struggling venue who doesn't cause distress to people and animals alike. When It caught fire due to an accident it should have been left to burn.

Excellent pub - great food, very friendly and attentive service. They had extra care to address our son?s allergies which meant a nice and pleasant meal for everyone. Really good, we?ll be back.
