For the £5 I paid for fish and chips, their lunchtime special menu can't be faulted.

This place needs a good repaint insurance out. The toilets were a disgrace and filthy, The food was ok for the price but would not take family or friends there. The outside has broken furniture in the garden area.
Parking: Post code takes you to the wrong road

Has good points and bad points... good points nice play area for the kids and can see on the TV screens outside the play area... the young girl behind the bar was lovely, it was very busy but she kept a lovely manner and happy attitude. Evening meal wasn't the best ? but breakfast and the atmosphere in the morning was better.... we did go on a Friday night so whether that was the busiest night... the place could do with a bit of a refresh.

To be fair, it's a pub that you can eat at. You don't come here for fine dining, you come here for a pub meal.
The smothered chicken was perfectly nice, other people in the party had lasagne(perfectly nice), fish and chips(perfectly nice) and the sirloin steak(not the best, plenty of gristle and fat, but the edible bits were fine, apparently).
The service staff were very pleasant, welcoming.
The decor was pretty tired, most things were scuffed and a bit tatty, but it's a high traffic area so wear and tear with minimal company investment is the norm.
The particularly unpleasant experience was the toilets. There was obviously a problem with the men's toilets(I walked in and our server was in there), as the floor was covered in water. I was directed to the disabled toilet - and it was appalling. It was dirty, paint was coming off the walls around the fittings, there were loose waste bags strewn on the side and the toilet and sink were pretty grubby. It made me feel rather queasy.
Overall the experience was "fine", and it could be easily bettered with some paint, cleaning and a bit more care taken.

Went for food on Sun 19th Jan 2025. Booked a table for 3.15pm arrived ordered food & was told they had sold out of all sun lunches, so ordered off menu. Waited an hour for food asked front of house how much longer for food & was told there were 5 tables infront of us so should be 15mins. Waited another 15mins & spoke to the manager who wasn't very helpful & didn't seem to know what to do with the situation as so many people were complaining. 3 security men turned up manager said she would find out what was happening with our food but never came back, I then had to go up to her again as she didn't have the decency to come to our table to let us know what was going on. Total lack of management skills to deal with the situation, no apology badly handled.

We went for the all you can eat breakfast, and the restaurant seemed understaffed. Refilling the stations was slow and inconsistent. The quality of the food was lacking at best and some of the most undercooked eggs I have received at a restaurant.

christmas dinner was ruined by bad service, bad food, being seated next to the toilets, and staff laughing it all off after i brought the matter to their attention, so much that my 2 guests (one disabled) and I walked out before dessert. I have never experienced such aweful food and service on 'CHRISTMAS DAY' for a special dinner at a premium price. I will be taking this matter further. SHAME ON YOU BREWERS FAYRE, i will be contacting Head Office with regard to this disgusting treatment.
