I used to think that Aldi were OK for basic items. Having been shopping there for some years now, I have come to realise that their premium items of food are of a high quality and are superb value. We shop at Waitrose and Sainsbury as well, but the savings on a weekly shop at Aldi are clear to see.Their fresh produce does not seem to stay as fresh though? This could be due to lower turnover perhaps?

Good produce at fair prices, but reduced choice and sometimes quality. Like the fresh breads/bakery counter especially. Don't like the checkout experience of throwing things through as fast as they can at the inconvenience of the shopper

Portishead has poor queue management (no reflection on the till staff), so for saving pennies you can end up standing in line a lot longer than another similar priced outlet.
