Used to be fantastic , amazing food , beer & atmosphere... until the new owners took over .... now unbelievably disappointing!!?

Lovely evening at the pheasant ? Came in with our baby and doggy. The pub was busy and they still managed to get us table. Owners could not be more friendly and helpful. Nice pub food. Go and visit if you are in the area! ?

Spent a very nice night at The Pheasant. Visited while staying at a campsite near by. It was an open mike night which was very enjoyable. The atmosphere was great and staff and patrons friendly.
Situated in the rural village of Wookey near Wells in Somerset, The Pheasant Inn is a traditional country pub with stunning views of the Mendip Hills.
A family and dog-friendly 'local' pub offering good homecooked food (locally sourced where possible) which caters for vegetarians, vegans and those with gluten intolerances, alongside a traditional menu with a range of food from steaks to ploughmans. Two real ale hand pulls, a great selection of lagers and an extensive range of ciders from local brewers Thatchers, along with a well-stocked Gin bar ensures there is something for everyone at The Pheasant Inn.
We boast a spacious separate dining area, a cosy bar with wood burning stove as well as a large fully enclosed garden.
