We were visiting Wookey and was recommended this pub for Sunday roast ... well what a shame we walked in to the sounds of a man in a cowboy hat shouting and swearing and was not a pleasant atmosphere so instead of spending our money on food here we found somewhere else more pleasant

Would highly recommend as such a lovely experience had by four generations of family. Celebrating an 83rd birthday and a 60th birthday. The food was outstanding and staff very patient to accommodate all dietary needs and nothing was too much trouble, polite kind and couldn?t fault a thing on our evening out. A lovely little pub. We visited as a group of seven to celebrate a birthday. The food here is really good. Hearty portions and great quality. The chips are hand cut and cooked to perfection and the home made coleslaw is amazing. Well kept draught beers helped keep us cool too. Will definitely be back.

Came here for a roast dinner on Sunday as we were staying at Wells Touring Park. Sat outside. Roast was amazing. Great fresh food, good value for money. When we go back to the park will 100% be back here!

Went for a family pub dinner on last day of hols and this place was perfect! We went on steak night and the ribeyes were cooked perfectly and chips and salad were great. Kids meals were also lovely! Great atmosphere. Thank you ?

Lovely place to get a decent meal, all local food cooked to perfection. Has to be the best place I've eaten at in a long time. Good price, good atmosphere, friendly customer service. Highly recommend.

It was very quiet, which according to our friends that live local, is very strange.
The barman poured 3 of our 6 drinks wrong and 1 drink poured was meant to be ½pint lager shandy, when this mistake was taken back to the bar and it was explained it was for one of the drivers, we were told 'oh it will be ok'.
The food came out in quiet quick time and was very generous. Good value for money. Shame the menu was a bit sparse.
After our food a couple of our group ordered cocktails, as they were advertised. When they finally arrived, after the barman dropped the first lot, they didn't look or taste anything like they should of.

thought id try the pubs new burger night with a few friends! I tried the home made pork and chorizo burger which was lovely! my friends had mount everest burger which is a home made double bacon cheese burger again it can't be faulted it was huge! both our burgers came with drinks! a great pint of ale from Glastonbury ales and a lovely cold pint of Estrella!
also worth noting that we noticed the pub serves home made chips which I can't remember the last time I've been served home made chips!
