I popped in for a drink and was left waiting for over 20 minutes. No bar staff present, good job I'm honest as I could easily of helped myself. A rather pompous young man eventually served me but was more interested in answering his phone. He then left the bar unattended. If this establishment is trying to attract passing trade they are doing an awful job of it . I ran a pub for over 40 years and I've would never had provided such awful service. With the competition nearby they need to recess their business.Food & drinks: Noone there

We had a lovely meal here yesterday evening. We had to wait for the food but I guess that meant it was freshly prepared.Also had to go in search of someone to order coffee. They'd disappeared.Great food, lovely

A very nice place. Would have given 5 stars but when you order a lager with a dash of lime you should not be charged extra for the lime.

Only used hotel bar not the accommodation. Bar, seating, decoration, reception etc all neat, clean and tidy but dated. Nice pint of Otter beer and gooseberry gin.Seemed to be very popular with locals.Plenty of car parking and has electric car charging.

This is a great hotel. Stayed here on the way down to Devon. Ideal location. Very nice room and the breakfast was lovely. Definitely stay again ?

Stayed here for work. Location was great, rooms are a little dated but everything was spotless. Service I've marked down not because of the colleagues they were all fantastic, but in my opinion were run off their feet! The lady in the restaurant was also doing check in and the restaurant was busy so ment that check in I had to wait and later on at the bar. However this may have just been a night which caught them off guard to plan for. The food was amazing that I had and the breakfast in the morning, would definitely stay again.Food & drinks: The food was fantastic and lots of choice. Breakfast was also really good.

This is a lovely place in a lovely location with very nice staff. My only criticism is with the food. The 3 times I have eaten there, I don't find the food to be presented to you very hot, it's always Luke warm. I like my food hot. My roast diner was fantastic but again, barley hot. Meat went cold before I even finished my meal.The garlic mushrooms for starters where fantastic but for the price I paid, the portion size was just way to small. I can't understand why food today has to be on the small size but the price is large. Food portions have become smaller and the price has become bigger

Lovely place for a stop gap, stayed two nights, resturant food amazing and good value for money, staff absolutely brilliant no faults at all. The room was huge it got chilly in evening they do have radiators but haven't turned them on as yet, do called Management and within 10 mins two electric heaters were at my door. The only fault I have is the bed was a bit hard and lumpy along with the pillows, but overall a great stay.
