This place was the absolute highlight of our 16 day trip. Porlock Weir is small and calm and it became our daily ritual to watch the tide change.
Locanda on the Weir is a lovely place with so many lovely pictures and items. I think I counted more than 50+ pictures alone in the room we had breakfast. Every day I noticed something new. Lucy and Pio made us feel very welcome and we enjoyed listening to vinyl records in the lounge while enjoying a cocktail. They only have 4 rooms so the atmosphere is kept intimate even when the place is fully booked.
The room was lovely and spacious with a very comfy bed. The food is Michelin level and breakfast was almost the highlight of the day, except for the day we had diner, that took the grand price. They only offer dinner 4 nights a week so you have to settle for the pub or the oyster bar across the road some nights.
Everything was exquisite and I would definitely go again.

Just returned from a two day break at Locanda on the Weir. Wow, a beautiful Hotel with exceptional service and outstanding cuisine, a stone's throw from the sea. Attention to detail is second to none, and it would be easy to think you were dining in a Michelin starred restaurant. Thank you Cindy, and Pio.

This was one of my best stays in recent years. The rooms and atmosphere were incredibly welcoming and comfortable. The hosts were lovely and went above and beyond to make our anniversary trip special.
Beyond the intriguing conversations, I must mention the excellent food. The chef, who clearly loves his work, prepared a five-course menu that was adjusted for my vegan partner. It gave me a glimpse into the creative and passionate mind of a chef. Thank you for this fantastic experience.

Fantastic stay at Locando in the Weir. A touch of class but in a very understated and friendly manner. Cindy and Pio are the perfect hosts who make you feel so at home. We felt relaxed from the minute we arrived. The hotel itself is beautifully decorated. The lounge area is welcoming and cozy with sofas you disappear into and the dining area itself is so cleverly thought out. The artwork on the walls will keep you engaged for a good while. The standout is the food served though, every dish is so well put together and Pio takes the time to explain each as they are served. We had a great time and would love to come back. Thank you for a great weekend Cindy and Pio. Simon and Anita (and Kaydee the Greyhound ?).

Just returned from a lovely 2 night break at Locanda on the Weir, Cindy and Pio have strived to make our stay memorable with wonderful service and stunning exceptional food. The Hotel itself is full of amazing and interesting things, would highly recommend visiting.

We weren?t staying here but went for their evening set menu.
We arrived early to wander around the area which is well worth doing.
The Locanda was wonderful. Both the people we met , the chef and the manager were lovely. Extremely professional but also very friendly and interesting to talk to.
The meal was extremely good. Each course was beautiful to look at tasted delicious. It was very inventive and surpassed our expectations.
We have had a fair few tasting menus and this was up there with the very best. Superb.

We went here for a set menu and it was one of the best meals we've ever had. Each course was of an exceptionally high standard using local and homegrown ingredients. The restaurant and bar are beautifully decorated with views of the ocean. There is an extensive cocktail and wine menu. It is also dog friendly if you notify them beforehand. The staff are very welcoming and professional. This is a real gem, and we will definitely return.

What was served to us, over 5 courses, was a work of art showcasing the passion and inventiveness of the chef. I cannot recommend the venue enough for any occasion and I look forward to returning again in the future.
