I had an upsetting experience when having my nails treated yesterday so will not be using this salon again. A pity as I visited Norton Nails and Beauty regularly for 2 years.

Says all staff are trained but i sat down and the guy seemed to want to do the simple design I showed him (had a couple of mushrooms on a couple of nails) he started clipping the acrylics and they were literally flying in my face, he also then hurt my skin with an electric file. I'm not convinced they do proper training, I wanted to leave and I wish i did. My nails had only 2 coats on which wasnt enough as there were gaps and the design was just embarrassing to wear. The only good thing was the shape of the nails and then it was £40, the most expensive nails around the area for such a terrible set. Disappointed.

I have been going to Norton Nails for a number of years and wouldn?t have my nails done anywhere else. The staff are lovely and very accommodating of my disability and the nails are indestructible considering I have two children. 10/10 recommend

Very unhappy with the service I recieved, asked for a full set with nail art and first lady looked at my reference photo, filed my nails and added extensions before leaving me to start on another client, telling me I needed to wait for another lady to get back from sainsburys to finish my nails. Sat for roughly thirty minutes waiting for said lady who eventually arrived but spent a while in the back room with her daughter. After still waiting for my service to be continued for another 20 minutes the gent on the station next to me decided to help out, leaving large lumps of acrylic on the underside of my nails and when I let him know that I wanted nail art he began mumbling under his breath, rushing and not using my reference picture despite it being right in front of him, leaving me with mismatching designs on either hand and very shoddily done, before charging me almost £10 over the listed price! Will not be returning.

I just want to start this review by saying that I have visited this salon a few times and I have always been nice and never complained (even when I?ve left the salon with very questionable results at times) but I visited on Thursday and I was absolutely DISGUSTED with the service I received from the owner/manager (don?t know his name) the young boy (trainee) did my nails and cut them too short- he took the extensions off and started again without hassle but the manager tutted and shook his head at me. The trainee then did an ombré on my nails with colours that I had NOT chosen (he did not use the colours I had chosen) and the ombré was not blended very well at all. I asked the manager if he could show the trainee how to blend the colours better to which he then shouted at me telling me that it?s because I chose the wrong colours. He then screamed at me in front of everyone in the salon about how I was a problem because I was taking up too much time and also that I was to blame for everything that the trainee did wrong. He then shouted at the trainee to take the colour off and do a different colour. As he took the colour off, one of the extensions ripped off. I asked him to take everything off and he did as it was all a mess. He offered me another colour to which I refused as I wasn?t going to part with any money at all, not for their salon anyway. After two hours, I left with my original bare nails and drove half an hour into bath to get my nails done at Ivy?s nails (better than norton nails but still not amazing and don?t really recommend them either) I personally believe that if they invested in training their trainee better by helping them to learn, their clients would have better results and so wouldn?t have issues with complaints regarding length/colours/design. I have never really had a problem with the girls and boys that work there but the manager has some serious anger problems and he should probably work on that. They are also massive tax dodgers as they only take cash or transfer (bit of a red flag) would rather stick pins in my eyes than visit this poor excuse of a salon again.Service: Acrylic nails

The lady owner of Norton Nails did my extension gel nails today and she has done a beautiful job. She really took her time and the result shows natural looking nails with the gel applied not too thick, unlike some other places I have been to. It is my fourth time at Norton Nails and I am always impressed every time. Thank you so much!

I went down and have extentions the young man that done my nails was lovely. But the ladies was so rude. They try and get to many people done at the sometime.

I had Nail extensions here today and was disgusted with the customer service I received. I asked for extensions and colour on my tips. I asked if they could pull of my dry cuticles like every other place does. He said he couldn't do that. I said you just pull them off. He threw my hands down and said someone else will do it. This man did it and the previous man said its 43 pounds today so I questioned why it was such a high price, he began to explain but I struggled to understand his explanation and instead of being patient he started laughing at me and shouting in my face. I had previous to this asked if I could have my lashes done after to which he said was okay. During the time he was shouting at me he said "no room for lashes for you now"Absolutely disgusted. Never ever will be returning and will be expressing the concerns I've had here to my friends and family. The man that did my nails in the end was pleasant enough and I like how they turned out.Service: Nail extensions

Had an appointment but I've been told to sit and wait, after about 25 minutes I was asked to sit at one of the stations. Two of them were laughing and checking my nails talking in their language adding couple of English words, repeting what I said probably in my consolation.Then one of the guys started to cut my nails but chopped my skin off from one of my fingers, i started to bleed, he said "sorry" and wanted to continue like it's all fine but i stopped him and wish them all a good day but I am out, so I left and never returned!Service: Acrylic nails

I went to this salon for the first time a month ago and when showed them the style I wanted they cut my healthy long nails to replace them with plastic clips and acrylic. The result was ok however I spent the following two days with pain in my fingers so two weeks later I go back to the salon and ask them to remove everything. One of the guys starts filing the acrylic down but then stops and was about to put nail polish on it. So I said again I wanted everything removed and he started shouting at me in front of all the other people, asking me what was wrong with the acrylic they done to which I answer and he took it personally saying they do this to lots of customers and no one ever complained. Anyway he then left me with someone else and after managing to remove all that acrylic they proceed to put the nail polish on me without even filing my nails so I left with nails of different shapes and length, cuts in my fingers they were actually bleeding , and because they cut my nails right down two weeks before my nails have never been so short. I will never go back there again, most of them are polite but there is one of them who is very rude and the service is definitely not worth itUPDATE: after removing the gel they put on the second time I went, my nails are damaged, weak, brittle and very thin. I still got layers of a clear product they put on that won?t come off. I used to have long healthy nails and now I?m left with short and damaged nails. It?ll take months to hopefully grow them long and healthy again. Don?t go, they don?t know what they are doing

Took my daughter for a set of acrylics and am really impressed, the guy took his time even went over closing time. Would highly recommend and my daughter is over the moon.Service: Manicure

I had an appointment booked for 10:30 a couple of weeks previously so in the diary for a while. when I arrived the salon was full of mostly from all-ins. I waited half an hour without anyone touching my nails - walked out. So rude, no acknowledgement that I had a pre-booked appointment. I?ll never go back!
