Generally one of the better Whitbread/Brewers Fayre style venues. It is a bit far to travel for us but the food generally seems to be prepared by a chef that cares about what they are serving so we are regular visitors.

This is one on the most friendly pubs that I have ever been in, and I've been in more than I can remember over the last 60 years.
The food is excellent and good VFM.
The staff are very helpful, knowledgeable and polite.
Parking: Just be careful as you pull out onto the main road as it can be busy.
Kid-friendliness: Yes.
Wheelchair accessibility: Yes.

Visited Saturday Night. Great food. Great Service. Both had Smothered chicken which was delicious. Our waiter Mike was first class. He was attentive and made us feel like we were really special. Made our visit very memorable.

Wonderful meal. The staff wished me Happy Birthday when I arrived with my hubby and even left a box of chocolates on the table! What service!

Absolutely delicious food and staff so friendly polite and such a laugh especially mike ... always cleaning tables and making sure each guest is well looked after ... such a lovely place to go for a nice meal

It was very nice the only thing that put us off was it was freezing cold in there with no heating and hadn't to keep our coats on while eating.
