Didn't get the chance to eat there but the owner and staff are very welcoming. 5 star hospitality.

They advertise the kitchen open until 9 pm. We arrived before 8:30 and they declined to serve us. Just update the website or honour the schedule. It was two of us only so not even a big group. Very annoying behaviour from a lazy team.

Fantastic roast dinner. We had the beef and were not disappointed. The meat was cooked perfectly (pink but just melted when you ate it) and the veg was wonderful. The Bird in Hand is a cosy village pub situated in the centre of Long Ashton offering a good selection of drinks and great quality food, including South African specialities. You are sure of a welcome reception and can enjoy a relaxed atmosphere in front of one of the log burning fires or outside in the courtyard.
