I can understand why this sorting office has reduced opening hours, but to make those hours between 07.00 to 09.00 on a Monday, is incredibly inconvenient! Monday is my only day off and I'm unable to come til next week! Like so many organisations, the PO seems to be taking advantage of lockdown to suit itself not it's customers.

Miserable staff, like seriously, smile once in a while.

Usually very good but I have just had a book - so quite a large envelope - left sticking out of my letterbox by one corner -. I was home but no attempt to ring the doorbell or knock so no excuse. It is raining so had I been out could have been ruined. Or supposing I was away on holiday. I have on other occasions found things left on the doorstep when I have been out. Well, that is just about acceptable but leaving something so blatantly is not. I found this within a few minutes but if I were away and it was there for several days - or weeks - it would advertise that the property was empty. If the post office must do this then items shiould be left somewhere unobtrusive and a note left to say where it is.
