A lovely store, staff are very polite and happy to help. Store is light, clean and plenty of fresh and frozen products. Plenty of free carparking. Take a break in the cafe where you can buy hot and cold food and drinks.

Surly, curt and incooperative response just now to very polite request for clarification on poorly presented epos info (I have software usability design experience). Not what one expects from Waitrose. Not feeling very welcome for future visits.I have to add that another employee was helpful earlier when I was searching for sandwiches.

Big store with always attentive and friendly staff. However, still too much plastic and very little choice of loose fruit & vegetables.

On my way home from an appointment I was delayed in traffic by an accident on the A4 Keynsham By-pass. All traffic, including heavy trucks, that were heating west, were being diverted through Keynsham?s notoriously complex town-centre one-way-system (featuring many narrow minor roads). I decided to head into the Broadmead Lane Trading Estate for a hot drink and a bit of shopping. The plan being that, by the time I was finished, the traffic would have eased with the reopening of the by-pass. I called into the Waitrose supermarket and headed straight to the in-store Café. I had to queue for about 15 minutes as the café was busy. It was probably busier, because I was unlikely to be the only one with the same hot-drink idea. The service was a bit sluggish; with the two counter staff not really working well as a team. I decided that as it was 11:30 I would have an early-lunch here. The menu offered a range of ?Festive Feasts? and I was attracted to the ?Cheesy Rosti & Ham Hock Rarebit?; which looked scrummy from the picture on the menu-poster behind the servery. I also ordered an Americano Coffee with hot milk and the coffee-making started immediately. The customer ahead of me had also ordered a coffee from the other server, and his tab on the cash-till was cancelled by my server. He was asked to pay the £2.70 for MY coffee, this caused a short debate between the servers. My coffee was presented without milk; so I asked, and the milk was provided. I was given a numbered stand to place on my table, so that I would receive my food order. My server called my food order ?Rabbit?, so I corrected her, but that went over her head. The other server then mock-assured me there was no ?Rabbit? in my food. My coffee was above-average in taste and temperature, and enjoyed. It was however well-short of a great coffee; strong with a burnt-caramel taste; as available in other cafés that I frequent. Sadly the food was below-average and didn?t correspond to the image on the aforementioned menu poster. The egg yolk was not at all runny (in-fact part of the yolk was solid). The ?Rosti? just wasn?t Rosti at all. Rosti is a dish consisting mainly of potatoes, sautéed or shallow-fried in a pan, until golden. It should have been crisp on the outside, with distinct layers on the inside. The ?Rosti? here was just thinly sliced potato stuck together with a thin layer of cheese, and it had zero crispness. If I hadn?t been told there was ham hock in the this rarebit then I would not have realised. On the plus side it was hot (well it had been nuked) and there was an overall tangy taste. If this is the best that Waitrose can produce for Festive snacks, then I think they should stick to something less complex like toast, and then add a sprig of fresh basil.

Good selection of fresh produce and other grocery items. Fairly good range of organic items.More expensive than your average supermarket but i think most people know that. At least if something is out of stock they will try to find you an alternative. Plenty of checkouts open. Mostly polite and courteous staff.

Generally pleasant shopping experience spoilt by aisles blocked by staff restocking shelves at peak times. Can't shelves be restocked at quiet times?

The service, AGAIN, was incredibly slow - nearly hour-an-hour to produce a vegetarian breakfast and soup. My coffee had long been finished by the time the food arrived. And who serves a breakfast with no bread or toast; well, you can have it but it'll cost you extra! Poor value and poor service. I will never use them again - catch me twice fool on me ?. Regarding the reply from Waitrose - we did bring this to the attention of the staff and were told it was just coming, which of course it wasn't! This is just one aspect of the poor service. This is also a complete repeat of my previous experience, " it's just coming sir"!!

Very empty fish counter, for a Friday and some freezer cabinets empty, what's going wrong with Waitrose?
