“Can't fault any aspect of the visit. The ambience was very peaceful, the atmosphere was welcoming and the food was a delight. I had the jerk pork, which was a surprisingly large pork steak immaculately cooked and served with rice & peas, salad, coleslaw and fried plantain. There was a good kick of chili heat but not so much that it stole the flavour of the other food. I thoroughly enjoyed that and had sticky toffee pudding with custard for dessert, which was among the best sticky toffee puddings. On top of that, it was delightful to be served by staff that engaged and smiled. Absolutely will come again, I very much want to try the goat curry!”

“Great pub - we spent a week in the area (the second summer in row) and also this year, the New Inn did not disappoint. Great food, friendly service, nice mixture of local and touristy customers. We enjoyed wonderful homemade meals and the great selection of beers. Highly recommended, I hope to come back soon!”

“Not one of the most modern buildings, but an attempt to modernise the inside has worked reasonably well. Some mould in the shower which could easily be sorted with some bleach or such liquid. Never know why this is such a problem with their bathrooms. Near a busy roundabout so very handy for Ilminster and south coast , Lyme regis etc and only 8 miles from Taunton. Staff friendly and helpful.”
