Once again a fantastic meal! Our last visit was a 10/10 and this visit was even better!
Alan the chef is amazing. All the staff are wonderful! We sat outside today - such a beautiful location with a wonderfully kept garden and kitchen garden!

The best Sunday Roast we have had in a very long time! Delicious starters and AMAZING vegan chocolate mousse. I have a lot of allergies, and it's always quite challenging for me and my partner to find a place where I feel safe to eat. This is definitely on our list of favourites restaurants now. And the location is gorgeous, you can have a walk in their lovely vegetable garden outside and enjoy the view.
Staff was attentive and welcoming! Recommended!!

A really fabulous night away! We loved the accommodation, the setting, the food and the feel of the Holcombe - completely relaxing and the perfect place to celebrate a special occasion. The food was exceptional - and exceptional value. Only sadness is that we didn't have another night. But we'll be back!

Great Sunday lunch! Best in the area for sure, the chef is really passionate and it shows though the menu! Produce all local, lots even grown in the garden!
Plates look unreal and they taste just as good as they look?
Recommended this place for any occasion, top marks all round.

Nice place. Had dinner. Ordered Pork dish with miso & supposed to be kimchi on top but it was very pickled taste like vinegar.
Pork was very disappointed, just put samjang on top.
Pork didn't cook properly. If the pork serve with Samsung. It has to be cook thoroughly otherwise it makes people diarrhoea.
I started tummy ache on the way home. As soon as I came back home, what happened? I had run to go toilet.
Such a shame, not understand food combination
My husband wanted to finish because don't want to waste money.
What a charming reply.
Chef needs to train how to cook Korean dishes properly.

We just wanted to say a big thank you for such a fantastic stay. From the moment we checked in. Warm , rooms were absolutely excellent and really comfortable and beautifully presented.
The food was outstanding, and the puddings in particular were a real highlight! Blackberry Souffle 10/10
We also really appreciate the kindness in sending back the clothes my wife accidentally left behind ? such thoughtful service makes all the difference.

My wife and I stayed at the Holcombe earlier this week and it was genuinely fantastic. The whole place has a very high end / elegant look and feel. The terrace and outside bit of the restaurant has a magical view of Downside Abbey across the valley, and far to the horizon of the rolling Somerset hills. It is a lovely place to sit and enjoy a drink before dinner. Then there is a beautiful kitchen garden you can stroll around which is where the restaurant gets much of its fruit and veg, and homemade jams & preserves from.
Our room was lovely - loads of space, especially at this price, with a big bath and rain shower.
Best of all, however, was the food. We had a three course set menu for £35 which in many other parts of the UK would have cost comfortably twice that amount. The menu and wine list were both excellent, and everything we had was absolutely first class - as was breakfast in the morning.
It is also extremely well located as a jumping off point for all the places you might want to visit in this part of the UK: Cheddar Gorge, Wookey Hole, Wells, Bath, Bristol, Chew Magna etc...
We also very much enjoyed meeting Caroline and Alan. The Holcombe has clearly been a labour of love for them both for some years, and what they have managed to build is certainly something very special.
Definitely check it out if you ever plan to be in this area!

My husband and I have stayed in various hotels in England, but I'm delighted to say that this is probably one of the best we've ever stayed in. The room 3 was great and clean with a comfortable bed, the views were stunning, the location was excellent, the staff was very friendly, the atmosphere was warm, and the chef... WOW!!! The food was FANTASTIC, of a high standard, beautifully presented, and everything was very fresh and delicious! My husband compared the chef to Gordon Ramsay, and his dishes were truly masterful! WOW!!! Plus, the garden is beautiful. I definitely recommend this hotel! You won't be disappointed! Thank you for the warm welcome and excellent service! We will definitely be back!

This is a wonderful place!
The food is amazing. The staff were so friendly, welcoming and accommodating.
I will 100% return for a feast in the future.
Car park is up a bit of a slope mind.
Could easily catch a bumper of you weren't paying attention.

We had a wonderful stay at Holcombe Inn, the room was extremely comfortable and we had a delicious meal, with lots of home grown produce, and the best souffle! Couldn't fault a thing. A warm and welcome night away, thank you.

My absolute favorite restaurant in the UK! Everything is fresh from the garden. Each dish is unique, flavorful, and interesting. Do not miss the cheese crème brûlée starter. Wow! Have you ever had fresh mint ice cream with chocolate chips? It?s worth the drive from London. Make sure to ask for the homemade elderflower Spritz, also known as a Hugo Spritz. Definitely take time to stay and dine at The Holcombe Inn.
