Had fish, chip and mushy peas. The fish was beautifully fresh and the batter was crisp without being soggy; tasted good too. Chips were well cooked. Staff were lovely and helpful, sorry I forgot their names. Thank you from the lady in the caravan.

After 85 visits in the last year and countless amazing experiences with the girls that work here, where they know our order, always seem so happy to see us and give us the best service, which is what makes us come back we sadly have to review tonight?s experience.
We went in this evening at 850, to be greeted by a girl with no positive atmosphere. She took our order and went to the side. As she was preparing our chips I noticed she had not labelled which one was just salt, and I asked her politely do to so, this was when (Chloe) started having an attitude and showing her ego, and was waving sauces around like she had a problem with a simple request and simply said ?no I?ll do it after it?s melted?. Me and my partner just looked at each other and prayed she was successful in her 50/50 guess after passing it to someone else.
We recieved the food, after a wait which is always worth waiting for, and I noticed Chloe boxed the salt and vinegar upside down, I didn?t think much of it at first and returned to our car to eat our meal. My partner opens her box and lo and behold 1/4 of the chips are stuck to the box. We go back in show Chloe the misfortune and tell her what had happened, we were responded with ? I don?t think I did, what do you want me to do?? I asked for a new portion, and the Chloe goes to Jack, I hear Jack say what?s the issue, I say ?Jack if you come closer I?ll explain further? and he weirdly responds with ?don?t raise your voice? I respond calmly with ?not raising my voice Jack, your working in a kitchen that is loud? I said to Jack we always come here bud, and he says to us yeah and you always complain about the same thing, (in his defence we have complained once about this before, and were given given an apology immediately, what was 1/85 times is now 2/86 time :( )
Chloe says what am I doing and Jack says just give it to them. The food is always 5/5 and the presentation has only be bad twice now, however the attitude of Chloe and her ego, and the dismissive behaviour and making us feel that we were the problem has made this experience worthy of a one star compared to my previous 5 stars.
I did ask Jack for 30 seconds to clear the air, as we are regulars and do enjoy the product, and he just said no I?m too busy I?m closing in 20.
I will not eat here if Chloe is serving, and I will give Jack the benefit of the doubt on having a bad day.

Decent enough food - the thing that lets this place down is the exceptionally slow and wrong service. That?s the thing when you hire mostly young adults who have hardly any pride or enthusiasm in their work.
Ordered curry sauce but given gravy??
Waited 25 minutes for 2 portions of chips, a cheesy chips and a curry sauce (gravy!)
The poor gentleman who was 6 customers in-front of me was still waiting for a fish & chips when I left.
Avoid if in a hurry!

This has been a emergency stop mid of a long journey for a quick snack. Boy I am in luck.
Awesome experience. Excellent Fish with the best Torched Cheese Chips I ever had. Shop interiors are very clean and well maintained. Car park is a definite plus for this establishment. We had a take out and ate in the car before getting back on the motorway.
Kid-friendliness: Staff are very friendly towards kids. My son had a good time.

Ok so we are extremely glad that we tried this place!
We are from Australia and the only thing I can say is ?I wish we had fish and chips like this! Huge piece of fish in a yummy crispy light batter.
The chips were the best I?ve had in a very long time and I?m a very fussy chip person!
! Hand cut crispy and delicious!
The potato Scallops were amazing?.thick piece of potato slice and a crispy thin layer of batter?usually it?s the opposite way around! So impressed.
The staff were so awesome! Informative and very pleasant with a unique enthusiasm which made our experience unforgettable!

Good food but both our haddock were a bit overcooked and dry. Nice size portions though

Good fish and chips. They offer a vegan menu too. Impressed with their melted cheese option. We visited on the eve of the England vs Spain 2024 final. Just before kick off. The staff handled all the orders and impatience very well. Note car park for patrons at the back as everywhere is double yellow lined. (Great for road sweepers!)
