I visited Timpson at Sainsbury?s frome today as the three identification tags for our dogs that we purchased on the 25th July are already very difficult to read. When I showed the attendant, Kyle, he was very offish saying he could read them and there was nothing he could do. I said that after 10 days of being on our dogs collars they shouldn?t be like it. He said he couldn?t use the new engraving machine so advised me to return on Sunday to see the manager. I asked for the customer service number which was written down for me. I also used the qr code as I said I would leave a review as I didn?t feel this was great service. He shrugged his shoulders and said ?that?s up to you mate?, not the professional level of service that was expected.

After a very early morning of stress in the dark, when I was unable to drive my car due to my key fob falling apart, plus numerous calls back and forth to my insurance companie?s breakdown assistance, key suppliers/cutters and my car dealership, all of which were useless or were all about the money for a call out on a Sunday, it was recommended to me to give Timpsons a call to see if they could help with my situation. From the off, Zoe was exemplary, giving me 1st class customer service. She gave me straight forward information in a can do and proactive manner and solved my dilemma within 15 minutes, when I had been struggling to find an answer for 5 hours. I find these days that good customer service is hard to find. Zoe is a true example of someone who actually really cares and wants to help to the fullest. Well done Zoe! And thank you so much!

took my front door key to get a spare cut 3 times and neither times did the keys worked in our lock. The chap said in the end that I would be better off getting a new barrel for the lock as the key I was using was not the original and he needed the original to get a copy from. I replied that l would just like my £7.00 refunded please.Anyway to cut a long story short I went across the road to Homebase and got one cut there for £4.98, and it actually worked fine. So what does that tell you. Don't bother with Timpsons they are a waste of time

Poor service, needed some new house keys so went in and got them, neither of them worked, came back the next day for an exchange. Again, both keys didn?t work. Came back a third time and asked for a refund and they laughed in my face. Awful service and low accuracy rate. Not good enough all 4 keys they cut for me did not work.Also I got a car key cut which they ?specialize? in and they didn?t make it long enough and the handle was too wide, they obviously didn?t look at my original key very well. This ended up with the key being stuck in my ignition and I had to drill it out, leading me needing a whole new barrel and I had to get new locks on my car. Not worth it at all. I will never use their service again and I wouldn?t recommend unless you want to be disappointed and to fork out on an expensive job at the garage!This isn?t good enough.

Poor service,arrogant staff, key does fit one barrel but not the other (Original fits both fine) so not a very good copy. Go somewhere else , not recommended.

I?d strongly encourage you not to go. I went here and got 2 keys cut for my front door and neither of them worked! To their credit for free they then cut me 2 more keys but only 1 of them worked and even then it wasn?t a good fit. That?s only a 25% success rate from my experience. At this point I was very disappointed and went back to get a refund, I was not interested in getting any more keys cut as it was too much of an inconvenience. I had no choice but to keep the 1 key that ?worked?. However the way they charge for 2 keys being cut meant I was only going to get a refund of about 30% of the total price for the one key I was returning. When I expressed disappointment in this and asked for a more significant refund I was basically laughed at and he then became very rude and aggressive. I walked out with just under a 50% refund which I didn?t feel was enough but was clearly as good as I was going to get. I will never return. A 25% success rate is unacceptable for any business.
