A lovely clean, tidy & spacious pub/restaurant. Tables well laid out with plenty of rooms between them. Service was very good; staff were welcoming, helpful & friendly. After ordering food we didn't have to wait very long, around 20-25 minutes, for it to arrive. Food was very nice & enjoyable but nothing special. Not value for money. Not very big portions either, was expecting more on my plate for the price.
We were staying in the Premier Inn adjacent to the Beefeater so it was convenient to eat in the Beefeater. The following morning we went into the Beefeater for coffee & I used the toilet before we left. Whilst going into a toilet cubicle I checked the toilet paper holdrr & it was empty. I checked the other two cubicles but they were also empty. I went to the bar & told who I presumed was the Manager & asked if someone could put some more in there but was told by him that they didn't have any! I asked if the staff toilets had any paper but was told No. I asked for some kitchen roll instead but was also told No. Good job I carry a pack of tissues in my bag! I also gave some to a woman & her young daughter who came in after me. I washed my hands afterwards but a tiny drop of soap squirted onto my hand & couldn't use the hand drier afterwards because it wasn't working & there were no paper towels to use! On my way out I told the Manager again there was no soap & the hand drier wasn't working but there was no apology. I won't be eating here again!

Went for breakfast all you can eat. 10mins after we arrived we were told the hotplate was closing, then they removed all the toast and bakery items. They even had a family booked in later than us and their experience was even worse.
Also, first bite of my bacon i pulled from my mouth a long black hair.
Staff were friendly and apologetic, it wasnt their fault bookings were allowed to be made so close to breakfast finishing time.
Breakfast was cheap and cheerful and im sure our experience would have been better if we would have had an earlier booking.

Ordered the sirloin steak, it was the worst steak I have ever had. It was like a cheap piece of frying steak. My daughter's had to be returned as she had requested medium rare & it was more well done.
Dreadful meal & will not be returning

Staff may have been rushed / busy but we felt forgotten
Was good to catch up with brother and beefeater provided a venue - would definitely revisit in the future + discounts are a bonus

Food was ok, not to be offensive it did a job of filling a hungry stomach. Atmosphere was again ok, but I think this is the nature of this type of place as it is predominantly about the food. Service however was really good, we over complicated the way our 3 families ordered everything and the staff didn?t look put out once (I am aware we did it strangely), I thought the staff were brilliant and really working hard. Just to say my review is based on we hadn?t booked so sat in the bar area.

Booked for a massive group two weeks in advance turned up they had no table and no spaces for Us half hour drive to be treated like that is disgusting young children starving hungry honestly customer service appalling we checked twice they had our reservation right and they messed it up that bad never again MC Donald's was great though

We ate in here after visiting the festival of light and I can safely say its the worst Beefeater I've eaten at by a country mile. We waited 30 minutes to be served and then over and hour for the food to arrive. We had 3 Christmas dinners on our table and half the items we're missing from the plate. What was served was either burnt to a crisp or frozen, how's that even possible. We waited another 30mins for table to be cleared and desert order to be taken and they only came then because I went looking for them. Explained we had 2.5hr drive home so wanted to order so the waitress disappeared again. They then got the orders wrong and of course acted like that was our fault. Avoid this place at all costs. Refillable drinks not refilled once because you could never find the waitress. With the prices you pay here nowadays you could go somewhere half decent.
