Food was OK, the pub itself was a dive. We decided to dine outside after we found a table that wasn't broken or covered in cigarette nubs. - Only one staff member who was working the bar, taking the food orders, answering the phones and being the waitress too.... but she was lovely throughout!

Clean, good service. Good quality food but Limited menu. Keeps good beer. The best beef burger you can find locally, delicious. Chips are to die for. Highly recommended.

We did a wedding disco for friends the weekend. The Staff and managment could not have been more helpful and welcoming. Buffet was excellent bar staff excellent, atmosphere excellent ?

Thank you so, so much to Nick and the entire team for making our wedding celebrations weekend more perfect than I could ever have asked for.
We booked the campsite and function room which gave the opportunity for friends from far afield to join us and it was brilliant.
21 of us for dinner on Friday evening started the festivities, the food was amazing and all came out together.
The buffet for the party was superb, special mention to the roast beef, duck rolls and roast potatoes as guests were saying they could eat those every day.
Every drunk was served by smiling faces and there were a lot of them! To finish the weekend off we had a Sunday roast which as always was amazing.
We will be back soon for sure!

Thank you for doing my vegan nut roast on Sunday lunch time . I only left the cauliflower cheese as I wasn't sure if it was dairy free cheese or not.

It was our first visit to the watchfield this evening.. We had a lovely warm welcome and impressed with the beautiful interior of the pub! We ordered from the menu which had a good range of traditional pub meals. The food was fresh, home cooked, and delicious. Will definitely be visiting again soon. Thank you xxx

Popped in for a couple of pints. Beer was good but it was very cold in the pub. Would of stayed longer but for that. Friendly staff.

Really nice pub plenty of on site parking great atmosphere very relaxing. Cannot comment on food but good menu choice. Car park signage made us chuckle

The staff are friendly (albeit not very bright) but this place is a bit of a mess, cold, tired and not very clean. The menus looked like they had been used as a toddlers placemat. None of us ate the chips as the taste of old oil was too much. The clientele here are a bit rough and loud. The prices they charge they should be able to afford to put some heating on other than a little wood burner in a junk room not accessible. Overall impression is that it is only interested in catering for the village and local chimney pots and people passing through like us don't really matter, which is fine but is worth people knowing. Our first time and our last time.

The best cheesy chips in Somerset, an amazing old pub that is huge once inside. Visited after one of there main events so seating was being put back into it's places. Food order very quick to delivery. Spoken to staff and owner who are extremely polite which was nice to see.
Will visit again for sure and the owner has said that upgrades are being carried as and when.
Camping and parking onsite so during summer holiday I this inn is very busy.
Ample parking and beautiful beer garden.
