Great place to stay in Exmoor. Despite the weather we enjoyed staying here. Close to walks across the moor and easy to get to Minehead / Dunster if you want to. The breakfasts were fab. We will return!

We had a fantastic stay here for a walking weekend. Andy and Tanya were incredibly hospitable, the hotel is so comfortable and welcoming, and the village has multiple footpaths going straight up on to the moorland, making it a perfect location.

We had a wonderful few days staying in an extremely comfortable room with far-reaching views. Tanya and Andy are wonderful hosts; we had a last-minute change to our booking and they were very understanding and accommodating. Nothing is too much trouble. Lots to see and do in the area; an early morning walk up Dunkery Beacon was a highlight and Dunster and its castle are well worth a visit. Wootton Courtenay is delightful and everyone we met was so friendly - a small village with a big heart. Thank you Tanya and Andy for your kindness and wonderful hospitality. We hope to return!

A great place surrounded by superb landscapes. Very comfortable rooms, top breakfast, smart activity advices: all organized by super friendly owners. A great location operating at top standards and a smart starting point to visit this region.

Tanya and Andy were friendly helpful hosts. We had a spotlessly clean spacious room with a lovely view of the countryside and a comfortable bed. Andy does a splendid breakfast with locally sourced ingredients. Enough to keep us going until dinner! Highly recommended!

We took the whole place to celebrate an 80th birthday. It was a wonderful couple of days with stunning walks, good local restaurants and pubs. The trip was absolutely made by Andy and Tanya who looked after us so well. They managed to produce a full breakfast for 20 of us both mornings, and couldn?t have been more friendly and accommodating. We brought our dog and they provided treats, a dog bowl, and a couple of throws for the furniture which was a really nice touch.

If you need to stay within 25 miles of Minehead, book a room here! Unfortunately, we only spent one night in this immaculately presented and sympathetically decorated former Hunting Lodge. We were thrilled to find it positioned on the edge of the delightfully quiet Exmoor village of Wooton Courtney, and approached via beautifully maintained gardens. From its elevated location, our ground-floor bedroom had enviable views across Exmoor National Park, looking gently upwards towards Dunkery Beacon (the highest point on Exmoor, Somerset, and in southern England, outside of Dartmoor). Andy & Tanya are the consummate hosts, who clearly care deeply about their guests? overall experience and wellbeing, serving-up only the finest locally sourced produce in impeccable style. Having stayed in an eclectic mix of high-quality accommodation over the years, we can honestly say Dunkery Beacon Country House is right up there with the very, very best of them. Would we stay here again?. without any question we would, and for longer than only one night next time! Oh and the bed was lush.....

Andy and Tanya were great hosts, really looked after us. We arrived 08:30 the morning before we were supposed to and they made us breakfast and Tea. Great beer in the evening, beautiful location! Went riding in the hills and this was a great base for us Highly recommend this place

We had a memorable stay at the Dunkery Beacon . The rooms are very clean and comfortable. The views are fantastic . Breakfast one of the best we have had, freshly cooked to order with produce from a local farm. Nothing is too much trouble for the very gracious hosts. We will definitely be back.

What a lovely B and b in a beautiful location. Andy and Tanya gave us such a warm welcome and our suite was stunning. The 5-star breakfast kept us going all day while we explored the charming medieval village of Dunster and the castle. We enjoyed a cream tea at the riverside cafe and dinner at the Luttrell Arms in Dunster nearby.

Waar gastheerschap.Jane spreekt ook een klein beetje Nederlands!

Cannot improve on the superlatives given by other guests. Suffice it to say my husband said ne?d enjoyed every single minute even when unconscious - a tribute to the very comfortable beds & quiet location. Great location with marvellous views. Best food I?ve had anywhere - locally sourced, imaginatively prepared & beautifully presented. Individual requests are willingly catered for & Jane seems to have a phenomenal memory for guests? preferences & creates a calm welcoming atmosphere. Many guests are ?repeats? & we aim to join that happy band having booked our next visit.

We enjoyed another 3 night stay at this wonderful hotel. As previously, our room & public areas are spotless. Staff are efficient, helpful & very friendly. The meals were excellent. John (chef) never fails to please with his fantastic cooking. John & Jane are perfect hosts making everyone's stay most enjoyable. A perfect stay to enjoy my birthday.

Just spent two nights b&b over the bank holiday weekend. The hotel is located in the most peaceful place we have ever been too . The scenery is stunning, loads of walking possibilities. We walked up to Dunkery Beacon, two and a half miles uphill (wear walking boots) did not meet a sole, just some grazing sheep. Views were breath taking. Also went to Dunster Beach and walked to Minehead along the beach, again very peaceful and serene. Jane was a lovely host, nothing is too much to ask. Lovely box full of coffee tea and biscuits in our room. Cold water and milk in the guests fridge. Room clean and ample storage with views from window. Power shower, comfy bed, yummy breakfasts. Would definitely go again to explore more walks on Exmoor and the coast. X
