I stayed here for 4 nights last week ,they have a pizza night,curry night and a normal menu ..comfy bed and the beer was cold ..Happy

We only stayed for one night. The room was very clean and the bed was comfy with nice linen. The bathroom was clean and the shower although old did work. We had a full English breakfast which was very tasty. We saw the owner at check in and breakfast and he was very welcoming both times.

The team at The Lion Inn are lovely - so friendly and accommodating. The food was great too - all home made and really tasty. Definitely worth a visit :)Food & drinks: Great cooked breakfast - all home cooked and very tasty

Great hotel with friendly, pleasant staff. Good value for money.Rooms: The rooms were scrupulously clean, warm and comfortable. The only thing that would help improve it at this value price would be some local art prints on the empty picture hooks.

Friendly hotel and great place to stay as centrally located with easy access to town and some lovely walks. Staff were very friendly and helpful and food was excellent. Rooms are a bit tired with creaky floors but very clean and tidy.Food & drinks: Fantastic Food. We were a large group and all things we had were well cooked and delicious. Cooked breakfast was also really good and one of the best I have tasted.

Wonderful hotel in Dulverton with friendly service and huge room. We cycled here on a freezing night in November when it was ultra quiet and had a warm welcome, a warm room and an absolutely outstanding vegan breakfast the next day.

Lovely old hotel and pub with friendly staff. Great setting in the centre of Dulverton. A selection of real ales at the bar. A family independent business. Very traditional. Highly recommended.

It is a traditional country pub hotel, with a very warm welcome and good food. I was travelling on my own and felt safe and looked after. The food is traditional with subtle spicing, very nice and great portions. The room was comfortable with all the facilities I needed it was also cleaned and smartened each day with fresh cups, tea and biscuit supplies without me asking. Dulverton is a pretty village town in the southern part of Exmoor, with great views and pretty walks. The Lion would make a great base for a stay in this area.

The Lion hotel is great overflow accommodation for guests attending weddings at the relatively near by Deers leap retreat. The Hotel is a pretty tradition country inn in the centreof the village of Dulverton. The German family who run the estabilishment arevery friendly, helpful and accommodating. Room number 11is great with a lovely little en-suit full bathroom and a fourposter bed. The breakfast service down in the dinning room was simple but nicely cooked and served.Would definitely stay here again if in need of accommodation in Dulverton.

Our first impressions weren?t good. Two tables of four diners with no atmosphere at all. The host behind the bar was pleasant if not slightly unkempt. However the food was excellent, the Exmoor ale was good as was the Malbec. It transpired that the barman was German and had lived in Cornwall for several years before moving to Exmoor to run the hotel with his family, I believe Mum was the chef. The Schnitzel was excellent as was the steak.

My wife and I did a couple of nights here. We loved being here, the owners are personable and friendly It was our anniversary , we live in Torquay. We had a great, clean room , it was very relaxing. The food is fabulous , we will definitely return

A friendly hotel that was perfect for our group of family and friends. The staff were really helpful and the breakfast and dinner were super tasty and good value for money. More vintage than modern but the rooms were clean, a good size and the hotel had everything we needed. A great location in the centre of Dulverton and a perfect springboard to explore the surrounding area.

We enjoyed 3 nights at the Lion. A comfortable central hotel with advantageous parking arrangement. A clean room overlooking a quiet street. Good breakfast menu, well cooked and presented. A limited dinner menu but again we?ll cooked and served. A most enjoyable stay in this Exmoor location.
