Stopped serving food earlier than advertised on their site, resulting in wasted journey. Made to feel like it was our fault for not phoning ahead. Unable to comment on food but looked good.

We got there before 9, having picked it out over all other food places in Clevedon. Apparently the restaurant was closed. Food might be good, who knows!!
UPDATE I've asked for the website to be updated to reflect the kitchen closing earlier than advertised. I've received an apology and a commitment to do just that. Thanks team Limehouse.

Ah, Clevedon?a place where the Bristol Channel?s waters glimmer like the North Sea but with a bit more warmth, and the smell of fish and chips mingles with the sea air. But there?s something more than just Victorian piers and ice cream to write home about now. Enter *Limehouse*, a cocktail and burger joint nestled in the refined environs of Hill Road. Yes, Hill Road, where the buildings are as grand as your grandmother?s china, and the shops as charming as they are eyebrow-raisingly expensive.
Now, you might think that Clevedon, with its air of the sedate and seaside-y, wouldn?t know what to do with a burger that isn?t wrapped in greasy paper and handed to you at the beach. But *Limehouse* pulls it off with aplomb. This is not your run-of-the-mill Americana burger shack, complete with the obligatory red, white, and blue bunting and a jukebox spinning ?50s hits. No, *Limehouse* is more New York Bar than Route 66 Diner?dark woods, moody lighting, and a cocktail menu that promises (and delivers) more than just an old-fashioned Old Fashioned.
As for the burgers, they?re meaty affairs that speak of more than just beef and bread slapped together. These are patties with a purpose, buns with backbone. Someone in the kitchen clearly cares?perhaps too much, but in the best possible way. You can taste the thought, the hours spent perfecting the balance of juicy, charred meat and condiments that don?t just sit there but complement, like the bassline in a Miles Davis track. It?s jazz in a bun. And no, there isn?t a lick of Stars and Stripes in sight. Because they don?t need it.
On a balmy evening, there?s nothing better than grabbing a seat outside, where you can sip a cocktail?perhaps something with a name as long and convoluted as a Dickens novel?and watch the sun sink below the horizon. The service? Friendly, attentive, and just the right side of chatty. The vibe? Well, let?s just say it?s as refreshing as that first sip of a perfectly shaken martini.
*Limehouse* is a surprise, but the kind you welcome with open arms?a sophisticated little corner in a quaint seaside town. If you find yourself in Clevedon and fancy something more than a Mr. Whippy by the water, this place is well worth the detour. And frankly, it?s worth the calories too.

We recently held a funeral reception at the Limehouse. Tyler and his team were easy to work with and very accommodating of all our requests. The buffet lunch was a successful combination of Limehouse food and food we provided. Highly recommend their mini burgers. Great venue, warm ambience, and exceptional value. Thanks Tyler!
