Nice pub but many reviews are misleading in my opinion. The lady at the bar was very lovely, but we were disappointed that we couldn't order anything to eat, despite the Google reviews having ample photos of food and menus. I understand the pub stopped serving food two years ago, so a lot of the reviews are out of date.

We walked into this place, we were being stared down from the moment we walked into the room, staff were rude and laughed when we asked questions about food, rude lady on the was out that gave a condescending goodbye as though we didn?t belong in there. Felt very unwelcoming as a black woman. There was constant staring from staff and customers. I do not recommend!

This is the best pub I have visited during my brief visit to Cheddar. The barman was a top guy and the customers were nice and chatty. The beer was pretty good as well.
