Had a wonderful carvery here on a Sunday. The quality of the meat and the veg were second to none. Had a walk around the grounds afterwards and admired the pond and ducks. Well worth a visit A?

Such a pretty, welcoming and relaxed hotel. The room & bathroom was very clean with kettle, tea & coffee and little biscuits. The setting is beautiful & peaceful, with small lake, ducks little bridges and green area to relax in. Staff are friendly. Lovely range of meals on menu including vegan options. What a wonderful evening. Thank you

A traditional water mill converted into a hotel, bar and restaurant. A lovely location with its own duck pond. The ancient mill wheel actually turns, powered by water. Spacious guest room. Full English breakfast. Decent lunch/dinner menu with reasonable prices. Draft beer and cider at the bar. Open to non-residents. A good venue for business meetings and events. Friendly owner takes care to talk to guests and listen to feedback. Highly recommended.

I attended the Carney on Aug 3rd (Sunday) in Hornsbury Mill. The food is of good quality /inexpensive, and the service is excellent. The setting is simply stunning?right by a gorgeous lake where you can enjoy watching ducks and even a peacock roam. A fantastic dining experience in a stunning location!

Just had a delicious Sunday carvery at Hornsbury Mill. Would definitely recommend, lovely setting, staff friendly and helpful. Even had a chat with the new owner.
The only complaint we would say is the tables in the bar area need to be scattered around as not much space to move between tables as they are currently set out, they are too uniform and it felt like you were at school, otherwise absolutely definitely recommend.

What started out as a visit to the Hornsbury Mill, turned into a delicious tapas meal, several cocktails and a lot of new friends!
We have just moved to the area and needed a place to stay and picked up a room for just £90, bargain! We were greeted by Hoppy who told us about Tapas and Cocktails, so we booked in.
The waiting staff were very new, but they really wanted to chat and tried hard and ensured we had a good time. The food was lovely, and the cocktails were strong. Plus we stayed for drinks after and the team told us about the area, introduced us to new owner Tony and we left very happy! ?

Carvery is great. Turned up without booking and they found us a table and kept the kids happy with bread until they were ready to serve.

A lovely place to escape to, in the Somerset countryside. Very nice rooms, food and staff too, at an affordable price.

We stayed here originally for one night on our way home but were so impressed with the service, food and friendly staff we stayed another night. This place is a little gem and run by people that really care about their guests.would definitely return and recommend to family friends and anyone travelling within the area.

Stayed here recently on business. Beautiful building and grounds. The room I was given was very spacious, clean and well presented. Had evening meal and breakfast. Both exceptional. This is exactly where I'd stay if i ever stay in the area again.
The only negative is I had no phone reception but having good WiFi coverage mitigated this issue.
I was initially checked in and looked after my Kirsty who went above and beyond to accommodate me. I even had a nice chat with the owner who seems like a top bloke!

Pulled off the road by chance looking for lunch and stumbled across this beautiful hotel. We only stopped for lunch, but the service was brilliant, lovely waiter who was very chatty and had a large tasty meal for a reasonable price. Quiet and well kept garden, great stop that?s well hidden so close to the main road

I was here for a presentation so I can't comment on the rooms but the food they served was lovely.
There is a lot of gravel here but my mobility scooter coped well on the well used paths. The issue was getting to the only ramped entrance, where the gravel was so deep my scooter got stuck. Rather embarrassing ? ? with people trying to help and others left holding open a door at the top of a ramp I couldn't get to. Still, at least they had a purpose-built ramp. It was a shame there was still a weather bar to negotiate and then all the chairs to be moved out of the way to get in the room ? but I made it! They even knew in advance that I would be there so I was surprised it was so difficult. Once inside it was ok but accessing the disabled toilet wasn't terribly easy due to the narrow hallways. Once inside it had everything I needed however.
The place looked beautiful and the staff and food were lovely but it wasn't easy to access. I probably won't be back.

Beautiful hotel , the food , service and setting was brilliant. My only small complaint is no tap beer as it was out of order and the morning coffee was not very nice. Will defiantly be back will have tea next time

Me and my wife stayed here for 1 night as part of a little getaway and totally loved the place, it is set in beautiful grounds with easy parking, beautiful room, very friendly staff and a fantastic breakfast to set us up for the easy drive down to Lyme Regis the following morning.
Hopefully be back soon.
