Had a friend visiting from Germany and wanted to give them a proper taste of traditional British pub fare—this place did not disappoint! We both absolutely loved it. The roast chicken was beautifully cooked—succulent, tender, and full of flavour, with generous portions that left us more than satisfied.
We were welcomed with open arms, humour and kindness. The locals were lovely and chatty too. We’d read that this pub is worth walking to & it is. The home cooked food was great value for money and so tasty - none of our party was disappointed. We’d highly recommend this pub. I just hope we can visit again.
