Used to be a great store but the past year it's really gone extremely downhill. No staff on the shop floor. From what checkout staff have told me they are severely understaffed and when someone leaves they are not replaced especially on the shop floor. Been told the store manager is leaving soon and that he doesn't care and has told staff he's going so he doesn't care. Store always looks a right mess. I generally shop on a Saturday morning and often visit the clothing section which although small offers some good choices but for the past few months it is a right mess most Saturdays and if I ask for assistance I get told noone works on there on a Saturday! Managers just walking around whilst most of the clothing is on the floor! Really hope the new store manager will turn things around as it used to be a great store.

Please don't reduce the number of manned checkouts. Some of us older folk really need the human interaction. I overheard complaints about it in Burnham today and it doesn't seem to be a popular move.

Went to mobile shop in store this morning, arrived at 8.40, sign said open at 9am, I decided to wait..9.05 and still not open. As I had been waiting by the customer service desk, I asked if the mobile shop was going to open. I was told they were short staffed and it would not be open until 9.30 or 10...I asked why the sign said 9, and why either of the girls at the customer service desk did not think to tell me this while I was waiting.. that itvwas not going to open on time..I am sorry but this is bad practice, and more I portantly not very customer focused, no wonder you are losing market share...Someone needs to start thinking..I will be making an official complaint. As well as losing 2 mobile customers...

Purchased a phone charger at Tesco and when opening cardboard packaging later at home there was no charger inside! Due to working night shift pattern, admittedly it was close to 2 weeks before I returned with packaging but had my receipt of purchase. Felt somewhat belittled by staff who imo were asking unnecessary questions ?why has it taken you so long to return? ?which checkout number did you use? ?what did the server look like? all irrelevant to consumer rights. Kept us waiting whilst reviewing CCTV from time of purchase which felt overly drawn out. Requested a call back and left my details. One month later, still no call.

I am extremely disappointed with the service at Tesco Pharmacy in Burnham-on-Sea. My daughter?s regular prescription had been sent over, but when I arrived to collect it today (11/03/2025), I was told they did not have the medication in stock. As a regular customer who collects the same prescription every four weeks, I find it completely unacceptable that they failed to anticipate demand and ensure stock availability.
I asked if they could provide just a few tablets to tide her over, but they outright refused?despite the fact that we use this pharmacy regularly. When I questioned why they had run out, I was met with attitude rather than a reasonable explanation.
To make matters worse, I was also there to collect my own prescription, only to be told it wasn?t ready. I offered to wait, but the duty pharmacist dismissed me, claiming it would take three hours to pick and check the medication?while holding the prescription in her hand! This level of poor customer service and lack of care is astonishing.
I will seriously reconsider using Tesco Pharmacy in the future if this is the level of service they think is acceptable. Customers deserve better.

I went in today to ask the young man in the Phone section if he could help me with my phone.
Vinh i think his name was.
He couldn't of been more helpful. I hadn't purchased my phone from Tesco and he still went out of his way to help fix the problem and to explain why it had happened. He certainly knew exactly what he was doing and was polite and full of smiles. This young man is an asset to our local store.
