Lovely food and great service on Mother's day. Very quaint little pub with old English sentiments. Parking directly outside the pub which helps too.

Lovely place to visit and have lunch and also to stay too as they have lovely rooms. The hotel is situated right in the heart of historic Bridgwater with a lovely church opposite the hotel to look out onto. Thank you to the staff for making my visit so welcome.Rooms: The rooms I have been told are nice and well worth a stay overnight.Nearby activities: The main town centre is within walking days from the hotel.Walkability: Great place and with walking distance to the historic centre of town and great shops to visit.Food & drinks: The food is very nice and also well cooked for the visitor.

Checked in yesterday for an over night paranormal event. The hotel is beautiful, traditional "olde worlde" original building, extremely clean and well maintained, comfortable bar, lounges and dining areas. Staff are really polite and helpful, and the food was excellent. The paranormal investigation was an amazing experience with plenty of activity and proof of spiritual presence. Over all a very enjoyable time, definitely to he repeated. Thank you

Definitely it is a hidden gem! We stayed there for one night. Our room no. 5 (apparently is the biggest room there) was very comfortable, spacious, clean and had a character. The dinner... Wow. The homemade lasagna was the best ever! And the service was exceptional! The two young men who served us could easily find a job at The Ritz hotel. Extremely professional and polite. You can tell the team spirit is strong, everyone was friendly and happy to help. We also spoke with the owner to express our gratitude for everything. Well done guys!

Arrived to a nice welcome and shown to our room, and just having stayed in a B and B costing a lotless we were expecting a simular room or at least one that warranted the money the establishmentwhere charging.1st thing we notice was our door didn?t open fully so you has to squeeze in with your luggage, theroom was so small that nearly every time you walked round the bed you caught your leg on thecorner of said bed.Bathroom looked like it had not been clean ed , bin full and not toiletries,no decafe coffee in roomwe had to ask, so over all not worth the £115 for the night and the owners have won 4 in a bed ,how God only knows. We had a family gathering before a family funeral the next day and sat and had a meal , 2 peopleordered Chicken and Pineapple balls and where served Blackpudding balls which could have causedall sorts of religious , vegetarian and allergy problems ...luckily it didn?t and the starters werereplaced.Mains was OK , beef burger well over cooked , fish and chips both seemed to leave a lot but othersseemed to enjoy their meals.Desserts bit of a disaster how any estabishment can run out of vanilla ice cream i don?t know , loadsof shops around , then 2 of our dessert went to another table and when we had to find someone toask ,we had 2 diffrent excuses as to why.Breakfast OK but nothing to write home about. We did complain and later I recieved and email apologising and offering us an upgrade next time wevisited ...don?t think I?ll be back.Defiantly not worth the moneyRooms: Dirty ,dated and in need of a bit of TLCFood & drinks: Find some where else

A lovely local business! The food was lovely and there was a good range of vegan and vegetarian options. I had a Buddha bowl with added hallumi, which was amazing. The portion was a decent size, and I couldn't finish it all.The service was quick, and the staff were amazing. They were friendly and genuinely seemed to want to provide a positive experience. When informed it was my birthday, the staff provided a candle on dessert and sang happy birthday. 100% recommend.Food & drinks: A very good range of choices.
