I have not used a financial adviser for a long time and have to say my previous experience has been less than favourable. My wife contacted Simon, a financial adviser in Bristol, to discuss, amongst other things, a final salary pension. I was happy for the two of them to get on with it, but Simon suggested that as we viewed our finances jointly, I should be part of the conversation. I had some cash saved in an ISA that I had held for a number of years. In light of inflation rising to levels unseen for decades, I asked Simon if he had any suggestions what I could do with my cash to reduce the impact of inflation. After spending time understanding my view on risk he asked if I had any specific ethical or social views that might impact on investments. My wife and I are massive animal lovers and were I to make any investment it was important to me that animal welfare was high on the agenda. Simon was able to recommend a socially responsible fund that targets a return in excess of inflation over the long term whilst satisfying this requirement. I feel confident that Simon has mine and my wife?s best interests at heart and our finances are in capable hands moving forwards. Unividual are the type of business that put others first, their clients, staff and the local community. I like working with a financial adviser that shows an interest in what is important to me in life.

I received some inheritance last year and when I approached my existing financial adviser, she was reluctant to spend time with me face-to-face and after some concerns I had over the charges I started researching this well-known wealth management firm. I noticed the firm was gaining negative press attention and unsatisfactory client reviews. This led me to explore working with a different financial adviser. I was introduced to Simon Jones, a financial adviser in Bristol, by a friend. The difference in service and the ideas he had around my finances were so much better than my previous financial planner, so we asked Simon to review all mine and my husband?s finances. I quickly realised from reading Unividual?s website we were previously receiving a ?one-size fits all? approach to financial advice, Simon and Unividual take the opposite approach, and I can confirm they do live up to their promise. In our time together Simon has spent time really listening to what is important to us, understanding what we would like our future to look like and coaching us, this has improved the relationship I have with my finances. I actually understand now what I am doing with my finances, and this has improved my overall wellbeing. I can now get on with enjoying life knowing that I am taking care of my future with the financial plan we put in place together. Unividual is so different to other financial advisers in the UK, they really are unique and individual.

I was recommended Simon Hicks by a friend, who couldn't speak highly enough of his professionalism, expertise and personable approach. They were 100% right. I am incredibly inept when it comes to financial planning, but Simon took the time to explain things in a language I was able to understand.
