We had a large room (118). It was clean and quiet. Aircon worked fine. Perfect location to explore Bath, everything was within walking distance. Parking could be difficult to find as it seems always busy but we got lucky and found a space within 2 minutes. 5 minutes easy walk to the hotel from the car park. We didn?t have breakfast there - why would you if you could go to one of the many cafes around? Would return.

I used to think Travelodge?s were fine, but this one might?ve ruined the experience for me.
Firstly, there?s no parking. The nearest car park is expensive, and is a 5 minute walk away. I only found that out after I asked the person at the desk, because they didn?t offer that information up when I checked in. I was simply given my key and told where my room was. No questions about do I need parking, breakfast help finding anything. Nothing.
So that leads me into breakfast. There is none. Your only option in the hotel is a £6 box of oats and UHT milk. There?s no restaurant here - they?ve retrofitted this ?hotel? into an old building and they?d have been better off leaving it to collapse.
You get a card in the room telling you to leave your ?please make up the room? hanger on the door, if you want fresh towels, tea, coffee and the buns emptied.
I left the card out on one night, and I got fresh towels and that was it. So I had 3 days worth of rubbish, no tea or milk, and not even the bed made.
The only saving grace was the air con worked and the room was big.
However - the massive entranceway in the room has nothing in it apart from 5 coat hangers. There?s not a single drawer, or cupboard or anywhere to actually store things.
Overall, this was one of the worst ones I?ve been in. I had 1 pleasant interaction with another staff member, but that was it - the rest of the time I didn?t see anyone, and obviously the housekeeping people hated me even though we?d never met.
Would not recommend.

Great location, shamed about the car parking but not too bad for a less than 10mins walk.

Stayed here for a couple of nights in August. Basic, comfortable clean rooms with good air conditioning and tea or coffee making facilities. Very happy and would recommend for one or two nights.

Would have given 5 stars all round but 2 days in a row we didn't get clean towels despite leaving the hanger on the door. The reception did give them to us on request though.

It's a great location and the staff were great...my initial welcome was to a room that was used and not clean and a lift out of service...staff were great though and helped as much as they could

Ok but bring your own blinds or curtains. Shocking really but if you?re visiting in summer you will be awake by 4am. First room we were allocated, the curtains didn?t meet (a) in the middle (b) didn?t cover outside edges of the glass. We rejected the room but the replacement was little better.

One of the worst hotel stays I?ve ever had. I stayed at the Travelodge Bath City Centre and paid £170 for a room that was basically uninhabitable. The staff were polite, but that?s the only positive thing I can say.
The room was stiflingly hot, with an air conditioning unit that was completely useless. To make things worse, the windows were sealed shut, so there was zero ventilation. It felt like being trapped in a sauna with no way out. I left feeling physically unwell and it took days to recover.
For the price I paid, the experience was an absolute joke. I?ve had far better stays at budget hotels for a third of the cost.

Location is great. No problem there. Rooms are spacious although could do with a revamp. However, I'm not sure if they're short staffed or don't get enough time but as a housekeeper myself the room (and corridors/stairs) were pretty grim. There were stains on the sheets, poop skids down the toilet, dust on the skirting, heardboard and back of the TV and grime all over the walls of the shower. Oh and nowhere looks like it's been hoovered! Please either give your housekeeping team more time to do the room or tell them to do better. I don't expect it to be amazing for a cheap room but i do expect it to be clean.

You get what you pay for, on a cheaper saver rate you can?t go wrong with such a central location in Bath City, you can watch the world go by when staying in this impressive looking building.
I wish these type of hotels had windows that opened just a crack though as the air is stuffy and heat becomes stifling with a small family in the room and some fairly ineffective(noisy) air con. You cannot hear the traffic outside at all though.
The room smelt clean and fresh and linens and furnishing spotlessly clean, few bits of dust in the corner of the bathroom. Kettle had been pat tested.
Nice relaxing decor and mood lighting in rooms, comfortable beds for everyone, not a noisy hotel, lots of families stay here.
No fridge or hairdryer in rooms. But for the price you cannot complain.
Didn?t see any pub or restaurant connected to the hotel but you are only a step away from pubs and restaurants.

Unfortunately, our experience at this hotel was quite disappointing. When we arrived around 4:30pm, there were no staff members at reception. Another guest had already been waiting 15 minutes before us, and we waited another 5 before someone finally showed up, only to say they forgot to put up the ?Be Back Soon? sign. Even worse, on our last day, we had paid for late checkout so we could relax and enjoy the area. But when we returned around 1pm, our key cards had already been deactivated. Once again, no staff at reception, this time with a sign saying they?d return at 4pm! If another guest hadn?t let us in and helped us find a cleaner to open our room, we would?ve missed our 2:30pm train. Very stressful and totally unnecessary. Would not stay again unless major changes are made to how the place is run.

Fab hotel. Brilliant location. No issues with parking (at near by car park- extra charge). Wait for the sake of a few minutes to check in was shocking!!!! Never ever known that before!!!!

I came from Bristol Mitchell Lane Travelodge and the comparison was very obvious to me. I like this one so much. It has (slightly but clearly) larger room, newer facilities in the bathroom (sink and tap etc), A/C in the room with individual controller, so you can always have comfortable room temperature. Nice and friendly services. Great location. I was worried that there weren't enough plugs for my devices but actually there were a lot of places to charge and pretty handy. Tesco was just downstairs. Will stay here if I am coming back to Bath again!!

Great Travelodge. Lovely large room, very clean, in the middle of everything and friendly customer service.
