I booked the Royal Crescent Signature Treatment and it was *glorious*. Coming from NY and being in law school I?ve had my fair share of massages but this was by far the best one I?ve ever had! Every crick got squished out without my body hurting afterward. It was the most relaxed I?d felt in ages. The facial afterward made my skin feel so soft and smooth without irritation, which is a blessing since my skin is so sensitive. If you come, please ask for Sarah! Honestly this woman deserves a raise and a half for transforming my rickety body the way she did. So nice and so pleasant to talk to about all your body problems. I was in heaven ?Food & drinks: I had the afternoon tea as part of the spa package. Sandwiches were so good! The scones were so good I actually enjoyed currants! The wait staff was lovely too. If I come back to the UK I?m definitely coming back.

Our stay was pleasant overall, but I have a few minor criticisms.I had a voucher for a Heritage room, which I provided when making our reservation over the phone. However, upon arrival, we were unexpectedly asked to produce the vouchers. I don?t recall being informed to bring them, so it might be helpful for future voucher-holders to receive such instructions in advance or be reminded.Additionally, while the hotel is well-decorated throughout, our 'Heritage' room had a few minor drawbacks, such as the lack of a hairdryer, squeaky floorboards, and a noisy wardrobe. Though I appreciate their sustainability efforts, offering only one-size-fits-all slippers and bathrobes felt limiting.Furthermore, the limited breakfast options, while likely in line with their sustainability commitment, left us feeling slightly disappointed in value for money. Despite enjoying our spa treatments, the wobbly massage table and inadequate soundproofing from hallway noise detracted from the hotel's advertised luxurious ambiance.Overall, while our stay was pleasant, there were some aspects that prevented it from being truly exceptional.

Do not book a spa day here.As a local I have visited many lovely local spas and was very much looking forward to this one as part of a £160pp package. However the facilities at the spa are just not appropriate for spa days. With only 4 deck chairs and no limit on the number of visitors they let in we were left unable to relax and enjoy our time there. We saw many other people come in, look around and face similar issues. I?ve been to small spas before, but at these they booked just a few people in for each slot.I have written to the spa to complain about our experience and the price we paid. The first response essentially said ?it was a busy day and it?s a small spa??. I really feel like we were due at least a partial refund and that they need to better manage the spa to avoid the same issues for guests every week but neither of these seem likely

My wife and I had a Virgin experience day here today for my wife's birthday and wow what a disappointing experience. A waste of £360 that's for sure. It's not worth that much money at all.Our original plan was 10:00 - 11:30 both my wife and I have our spa treatment ( body scrub, massage and facial)11:30 - 13:00 spend time in the spa using the facilities13:30 high teaThis didn't happen at all. It turns out a member of staff didn't show up at work. She went AWOL. It seems she did the same the previous Saturday too and left client's messed around. Surley she should of been contacted over the weekend to check if she's coming in for her shift Monday ( today ) but I guess not as once again this member of staff has messed people around. As a result of this my wife wasn't going to get her treatment. I decided to give her my place since it's her birthday and I'd wait in hope Kristina would arrive. She didn't. The staff at the spa were helpful in trying to get other member's of staff in to cover for Kristina ( i believe that's her name) but I'm not sure if they got the cover in the end.In the end it was alot of waiting around resulting in me being upset and trying to make sure this wasn't seen by staff but to be honest I wish they had seen. I smiled and said thank you like you do but only to be polite. Whilst my wife had her treatment 10:00 - 11:30 I waited and then eventually used the spa. So the new plan that ended up being arranged was10:00 - 11:30 my wife has treatment, i wait and use the spa facilities12:30 i get 1 hour treatment instead of 90 minutes but with a different member of staff. If i was to have 90 minute's they would of not been allowed a lunch break! I had Cristof who was absolutely fantastic .13:45 have some time in town16:00 high tea - this was crap. We got there and was sat down and told they have finished high tea at 4. Even though this got changed out of our control and this is what we paid for. I said you must be joking to which he went to the chefs to check and luckily managed to get us high tea. It wasn't worth the wait to 16:00 and lacked flavour and was very disappointing. Soggy finger sandwhiches were not appealing at all. The whole experience was Underwhelming and I most certainly won't be back. Both Isobelle and Cristof were amazing and gave fantastic massages hence the two star's.

RCH is the nearest hotel to my home so drop in frequently in my way past. Have enjoyed it all here; Afternoon Tea, the Spa and Treatments (packages), and lunch and/or dinner in the restaurant (Montague's Mews). The service is always impeccable, staff are beyond friendly, helpful and superb at knowing what you need before you tend to know you need it. A beautiful backdrop for making memories with wonderful people.

Absolutely outstanding. The food far outclassed anything I'd eaten before, as did the cocktails and the service.I had my wedding and reception here and the staff were so incredibly friendly and helpful, they really helped the day go smoothly and I cannot thank them enough. From the moment we arrived until we sadly had to leave the staff made us feel right at home. Our room was luxurious and you can?t beat the location. If you can make it your special place in Bath.
