A Substandard Experience ? Not Representative of Starbucks? Renowned Quality or the STARBUCKS
I visited this location expecting the usual Starbucks experience, but it fell far short. First, you can?t even scan the Starbucks app, which they claim is because they?re franchised. This was frustrating, as the app is one of the key perks for regular customers.
Second, the coffee didn?t taste like Starbucks at all?nothing close to the quality I?m used to. For a café in such a tourist-heavy area, this felt like a big cheat. Not the experience you?d expect from a brand as reputable as Starbucks. Disappointing and misleading.

The store now opens at 5:30am rather than as previously at 5:15, so it's difficult to order a drink before the very busy first train to London. This morning they opened 2 minutes late, then took a while to make my americano - when the train pulled up and I said I'm going to have to go, the barista looked at his phone and said 'You have another 2 minutes before that train leaves.' I had to abandon my drink, which I'd paid for, and run for the train.
Only a matter of a couple of minutes but makes a difference and wouldn't it make sense to open 15 minutes earlier? There was a queue of people behind me, who also had to abandon and run.

Staff were very accommodating to a admittedly complicated order and ran to deliver it when I had to leave and board my train. Excellent service

Absolutely shocking customer service, the staff were more interested in talking between themselves than serving me . Three staff , one just sat on stool two others ridiculously slow ! Got sick of waiting for the staff member to make my drink and asked for a refund but they persuaded me otherwise. Even the chap behind me walked out and another chap laughed and commented that this was always the same . SORT IT OUT STARBUCKS

Of course there is a Starbucks at the Bath train station. I picked up a tea from here and only later realized that there was another coffee shop whose name I did not recognize and would have loved to try instead. Next time!

You're taking the train early(ish) on a Sunday morning, nothing's open yet, but there's an itty bitty Starbucks on Platform 2 of Bath Spa. Sometimes it's not open because they have staffing problems, sometimes (somehow) they're completely out of things, but usually there's a strong cold brew waiting to assist you on that two hour ride back to London, and sometimes there's even an unexpected vegan treat or two as well (currently there are these chocolate muffins with a caramel center; a while back there were these little banana loafs drizzled with toffee that were so moist and so flavorful and - yes - I'm still thinking about them!). It's small, it's not always the cleanest, and you can't order ahead of time. Truly, this place exists to help the tired traveler with a little sugar and caffeine fix!
