Probably the worse Sainsbury's in the country. Expansion plans in the past never happened once a Tesco development was blocked.

It?s so slow. All of the manual tills with the conveyor belts are just reduced to 3 with no workers on them at all. Forced to go on self checkout with one poor shop assistant manning about 25 self checkouts. The till was so sensitive if we put an item in too early or too late it?ll call a worker. Put your milk carton down a little too fast? Worker is on the way. Not to mention the prices of some products in the store. £4.60 for some crappy grated cheddar cheese. Security guard at self checkout was staring at me when trying to buy age restricted products. Don?t understand why he can?t approve the item or perhaps call a shop assistant over? He kept on eyeing us up and walking around doing bog all. Manager probably swimming in cash knowing that all of the shop assistants are on minimum wage manning 25 checkouts all at once. Elderly man next to us dropped something and security guard didn?t even help him when he has clearly reduced mobility. Waited 10 minutes for my checkout to be approved. No discount for scanning and packing all of my items and waiting for a very long time. Manual checkouts worked way better and reduced theft probably because everything went faster. All of the self service checkouts weren?t even open. Queue of about 15 people. Prices gone up portions gone down and customer service went down. Do not visit here. I can see why people shop at Aldi and Lidl since they scan at rapid speed. People were walking out leaving £100 worth of shopping since no one was there. Do not visit

Convenient central location but can be a nightmare to find parking for the same reason. Seems to be reasonably well stocked. Shame, they got rid of the fresh meat/ fish/ deli counter and replaced it with a mediocre Sushi stand.
Often not enough tilts are open and one has to self-scan.
Hot Pizza stops at 5pm! That makes sense when you like it for your dinner.

Normal Sainsbury's. No pluses or minuses

Good selection of products for the size of store. Toilets usually clean. Baby changing room is useful but often busy/dirty.
Customer Service counter usually understaffed or slow to action refunds/queries.
Carpark (90 mins free) registers entrance before zebra crossing but at some times there can be big queues to get in /out which can result in a (£40-£70) fine.

A better than average Sainsbury's. Lack of a proper butcher/fishmonger is a shame and leaves consumers with little real reason to choose Sainsbury's (or Tesco) over Lidl/Aldi.

Decent enough stock but appalling staff.
Walked up to a register with an employee
standing there and checking someone out. As soon as I was done placing my items on the belt, he walked away. His colleague then told me in a condescending tone "it's not open, there is no one there!!" and shrugged when I said there WAS someone there 10 seconds ago. Best part: after I packed away all my items again and went to another checkout, they DID open it and other people got ahead of me. Not sure if perhaps I was the "wrong" race?
Anyway only writing this to alert others. Management obv doesn't care because they don't respond to anyone here

On the morning of Tuesday 11 January I managed to cut one of my fingers badly in the store, my fault. There was a lot of blood. The security guard who helped me initially and those who administered first aid could not have been kinder and more helpful. They tested a range of their first aid kit to bandage my finger and send me off to A and E. Thank you very much for your ingenuity and help.

Usually busy but really good Sainsbury's.
