For the second weekend in a row, the Post Office only had one member of staff running all three services: travel money, post office counter and the self serve area. Last Saturday I counted 23 people in the queue and after a 30 minute wait I gave up and returned on Sunday when it was the same person working and no one else. I asked to speak to the manager on both days - apparently they were not working at the weekend.Same this weekend - one person manning the whole area. While the staffing levels are unacceptable, the place is saved by this member of staff called Jack who, for the last two weekends, has been nothing but professional, efficient and friendly. The running of this Post Office is a joke - but Jack is credit to the place. It is however uncomfortable as a customer to see staff being flogged like that, and it?s irresponsible and unfair to leave him on his own during the busiest part of the week, despite how good he is. Get a grip and put enough people on at the weekends.

I had previously reviewed the post office and given 5 stars! I am absolutely outraged having visited there today to have an ID verification page signed! The teller who was quite sweet queried the process of verification and called over a lady who appeared to be the supervisor. This lady did not make eye contact when speaking to me, kept walking away to attend to her boxes, raised her voice, muttered under her breath rudely and spoke to me with contempt in front of other patrons. I am a professional myself and deal with the public and if I behaved in such a manner, I?d have been fired! This lady needs to attend some training as she?s clearly out of touch. I will be taking this further.

I went to the Travel Money/Business window at approximately 15:30 on Monday, October 9, 2023. The lady at the window told me she was closed and I would have to wait in the queue. I asked if I would still be able to do a currency exchange after waiting in the queue (which was a very long queue) and she said yes. After waiting in the queue, I finally arrived at the Post Office counter at approximately 16:40. I was told the currency exchange closed at 16:00 and I couldn't make an exchange. I protested and referred to the comments from the lady at the Travel Money/Business window and was told I would have to go elsewhere or come back tomorrow. This was unbelievably unprofessional and uncaring. This is the kind of service typical in a communist/socialist country.

Not enough staff, some organisation and helping people wouldn?t hurt. Waited for 20mins, the que was twice as long when I left 30mins before closing and the staff were already leaving so not everyone was getting served.Put someone out front checking on the que and directing people to the self service machines and everyone?s life would be easier?

Awful. Every time I go into this post office there is a queue that takes at least 30 mins. The staff are so unbothered and have absolutely no sense of urgency. They seem perfectly happy to watch elderly and disabled people (not myself) struggling to stand because it takes so long. Awful attitude from the staff as well - I get that you may not like your job but taking it out on the very patient customers is not acceptable. I dread having to go in here but always think next time it will be better - it never is. I?d be better off hand delivering my parcels next time with how long it takes to get anything done in this post office. I?d strongly advise everyone to go elsewhere and for a new post office manager in this place. It is not new information that this place is so bad.

Would give zero stars if I could. A busy Saturday with woman serving who had zero personality. Huge queues. Completely unhelpful and some of the worst customer service I?ve experienced. When I asked for a bit of celotape to stick my envelope down I was told by the man in the travel money section to re-queue and ask his colleague when he had a roll of celotape in front of him! Absolutely shocking. More staff needed and those who are there would benefit from customer service training!

This is an appalling post office. Always a very long wait. Never enough staff. The ones there are look really depressed. Today there was an older couple buying a passport which must have taken about 20 minutes to half an hour as the man serving kept chatting. One other counter was open until at one point she went off leaving a really long queue. It's particularly ridiculous as it's the main post office in Bath!

You would think this place could not get any worse, but it can! This afternoon there was only one person serving; two lads who were off to somewhere exotic. I was next in the queue. There was another employee floating around but she wasn?t where she was needed; behind the counter. Some ten minutes later there was one person serving the same two lads, I was still next in the queue but behind me the line was extending. Eventually a third person emerged and called me over. Whilst I was being attended to the woman behind the counter was merrily chatting to these two lads about where they were off to, oblivious to the frustrated line of people who must have now been waiting 15 minutes. This organisation does not deserve to exist.

Not enough staff on a Monday. The staff cannot be bothered to assist customers. Poor customer service. Staff is doing something else while people are in queue instead of helping customers

Failed to notify online a change to opening hours, they closed earlier than what they usually do. Arrived at 5 thinking they are open till 5:30, which it says online, and was already closed with only a piece of paper they just put up on the desk, was totally inconsiderate and cruel. Due to this though I was able to find not only a more competent and trustworthy post office but it?s more local to me too. Terrible older lady who never is at the till (leaving other nice lady to deal with everyone in line), ignorant and has no compassion, it?s always understaffed which doesn?t help the customers having to queue over half hour on good days, or the good employees for that matter. Will definitely never come again, but thank you for being so bad that I looked elsewhere and now have an excellent post office to go to from now on.

I dont usually take time to review stuffs.. but ITS ALWAYS and EVERYTIME. There are 5 tils and just 1 or 2 is open. No matter what time it is. You can see 2 or 3 people in the back just walking back and forth not doing anything. Well, okay maybe they are doing something but its not helping us. Yeah sometimes they are understaffed but who is to blame? Waiting time (if youre lucky) 10-20 mins. But the usual time is 30mins or even an hour!! Then there are instances that the ones at the til waste their time talking to people with 'queries' for like 5 to 10 mins just for other customers not to be served. Yes its near closing time but the more they should think about what they are doing. They could have atleast served 5 other people in that 5 mins they wasted in people who just go to them and disrupt the queue. This is just sad that the next place is far so we have to just get on with these slowpokes of a system. Oh they dont smile as well.

The post office is inside a book store and there is only 1-2 persons working behind the counter. I only waited a few minutes but the queue became quite long soon after.You can buy shipping supply from the book store and international shipping can't be done with the machine.Typical post office experience. Staff was helpful but line could be very long.

Horrendous customer service - particularly from the man mentioned in several other reviews of the store who is incredibly rude. Don?t be surprised if he snaps his fingers at you, barks at you in an abrupt manner when using the post office or if you?re lucky turns his back on you when you arrive at the counter to complete some arbitrary task that takes forever. It?s so bad in fact that I try to avoid going here as much as possible. The staff are so slow the queue regularly extends to the back of the store and you can wait half an hour for the post office (if they have just decided to randomly shut it that is!). Utterly useless and frustrating!

The post office isn't adequately manned for the volume of customers. Yesterday I joined a queue of at least 15 customers and there was just one clerk manning the desks. There didn't seem any way for her to call for assistance. This isn't the first time I've experienced this. It really isn't acceptable.
