Great place for banking in Bath. So grateful it?s open on Saturdays as if you work Monday-Friday, it?s the only day you can get!

Outstanding service from Jack at the Bath Nationwide branch today. He took the time to understand the situation and circumstances, offering reassuring support and clear guidance ? a strong example of how Consumer Duty should be applied when supporting vulnerable customers. Sadly, this was in stark contrast to a much less helpful experience at Barclays in Bath, where the same issue had to be escalated. Prior to escalation, Barclays came across as cold and corporate, while Nationwide immediately made you feel genuinely heard, treated you with empathy and like a human being, ensured the visit was productive and issues resolved. It?s clear why they consistently outperform Barclays on customer service.

Slow. Tried to pay money in to my own account. They asked me loads of questions about what accounts I have. I don?t remember if it?s a flexi or a saver. Who cares. Just pay it in! Useless.

I?d like to put in a good word for Alice at the Bath Nationwide branch, who I spoke to a couple of weeks ago after losing my phone and bank card. She was as empathetic and understanding as she was practically helpful in this situation, and it made me feel much better than when I came in. Though my belongings never showed up, it eased my stress to have someone so caring on the other side of the desk; she offered more help and warmth than what I?d expect from a bank. Thank you Alice!

This bank is a franchise of Poles. Employees do not show employee IDs to bank customers because they are not functioning properly. Their rude behaviour is unacceptable.
