I went shopping today for a few bits and I asked the member of staff twice for me to scan my Lidl card and he still didn?t do it so I missed out on that which I?m really annoyed about as this is our local so now I?m writing my review. If you don?t go first thing in the morning or late in the evening it?s so busy. The car park is so small and it can be chaos as there is designated way in and way out. There are 12 self-service tills and half the time there are only 5 open and now when you leave you have to scan your receipt whilst holding heavy shopping bags

The power tripping staff at this branch need some very basic lessons on how to conduct themselves and what their job roles actually are...
Multiple times I have witnessed the same jumped up individuals pounce on people with the btec security guard, proceedings to rifle through personal belongings, even saw someone being chased (hunted) down in the car park to check a carrier bag has been paid for lol. Ridiculous.
It's literally illegal for them to search people belongings without consent. if there's reasonable suspicion then the police should be called to deal with it.
Advice to anyone who goes here and one of the idiot staff members pounces, trying to search your handbag, rucksack or personal belongings. They have no power to do this and you should outright refuse and request the police be called. if they then forcibly search you/your things (which they seem to think is ok). Make sure you film it and sue them, then they'll get what they deserve for treating innocent people like criminals and shaming them in public.

Lidl is a fantastic spot for affordable, high-quality groceries, and I absolutely love their pastry section. The bakery always smells inviting, and the croissants, pain au chocolat, and danishes are fresh, flaky, and delicious , easily my favourite part of the shop. The store is clean and well laid out, with great prices on everyday essentials and plenty of interesting specials in the middle aisle. Staff are efficient and the self-checkout makes things quick. A brilliant option for a tasty bargain shop

I've been a customer for over four years. I like the shop itself, but I've been stopped by security twice this week because the security gate beeped. It's their fault it beeps when you buy meat; I assume they use security tags on those products. The first time, the security man asked me to open my bag. Today, he (I'm not sure if it was the same one) asked for my receipt. I told him I hadn't taken one. He then asked how I'd paid, cash or card. I said cash and that I hadn't taken a receipt when the cashier asked. He then asked me to wait while he contacted a cashier by walkie-talkie. I'm a woman, and I was well-dressed. Did he really think I was trying to steal something? I go to that shop at least twice a week, and I won't go anymore if this happens again.

Small supermarket which covers the basics of food but also sells random equipment. You are as likely to leave with a chainsaw as some bread or milk. Now with an expanded self check out area.
