Next to no noodles in the mixed meat chowmein and the boneless dry pork ribs with chilli and garlic was just crispy shredded battered pork not ribs at all.

Worst Chinese food ever ?.I ordered this on just eat and honestly very unhappy, the chow mein is unseasoned and very bland, the duck spring rolls tasted like the duck had gone bad. 20 pounds in the bin?

Great to find a simple old fashioned Chinese takeaway. Having moved from Sutton Coldfield to Freshford to be closer to our daughter in Bath we have missed our Currys and also Chinese restaurants of which there were plenty .
So we were delighted to collect a take away from here and really enjoy it ??

After reading the reviews didn't expect much but we arrived at 930 PM and ordered food as this was the closest to us and we are glad we did as the food was lovely and the best Chinese we've had in ages. Will be visiting here again

My favourite Chinese takeaway ? I love the Fortune Boxes,a great way to try different things on the main menu ? Never had cold food or poor looking food & once when my soup was not delivered by mistake after phoning it was re delivered in afew minutes...that is 1st class in my eyes.Now I live even nearer so I can pick up my order in person so win,win.Some people just like to leave negative reviews like on their website I always leave 5? reviews because of the service I have received over the years,I used to use the takeaway before this one also.

3.5 stars overall - but rounded up to four. We ordered bbq ribs, crispy fried beef, egg fried rice, plain rice, chicken chow mein and sweet and sour chicken balls. I supplemented the meal with my own slow cooked pork in a 5-spice sauce.
This is a basic Chinese takeaway that seems to be doing ok as a business. I?ve moved house recently and this is now my nearest takeaway. I?ve been driving past it for years and always wondered what it was like. Now I know. It is a basic takeaway doing the standard stuff. Not terrible but not fine dining. The one star reviews are just as unrealistic as the five star reviews in my opinion.
The ribs were fine. Tender enough and sauce not too overpowering. Not as tough as I?ve had from other takeaways in Bath recently, so a thumbs up, overall.
Sweet and sour chicken balls was the standard bits of chicken battered and deep fried and served with a pot of luminous bright red gloopy sauce. No vegetables were harmed (or used even) in the making of this dish. Separate sauce is appreciated - chicken still crispy. A classic of old school takeaways. It was what I expected and I wasn?t disappointed.
The crispy shredded beef was for my daughter. Not much beef compared to the batter in this one. (I?ve had similar before, so I think this is the style of this dish.) And because it was served in the sauce in a sealed container it had no great chance of being crispy when I?d got the food home, despite being close by. I?ve had better but this wasn?t as terrible as made out in other reviews.
Chicken chow mein was a generous portion. Salty but not too bad.
I would have liked the option of some Chinese leaf / Pak Choi - or some broccoli or something, but this might not be that sort of takeaway!
Staff seemed friendly. Got some free prawn crackers and a calendar. Freebies always go down well.
All served on time, and hot enough. Not too expensive nor would you expect it to be.
The best dish I ate was the slow cooked Chinese style pork. Oh hang on. I cooked that, sorry!
Overall this was fine, as expected and I will be back, especially as I?m close by now.

The reviews on this restaurant are not very helpful, so here is an honest review without bias.
The food took over an hour to be delivered, once here it was all hot and lovely. Nothing spectacular but what you would expect from a Sunday evening meal in front of the box.
I personally will be eating with them again.

I've just had young chow fried rice, special chop suey, and chicken chow mein, and I can sum this up very easily,,, absolutely delicious!! One of the finest meals I've ever had!

We ordered a chinese from here on the way home from a busy day out. The food was disgusting, cold and flavourless! We ordered sweet and sour chicken balls which were all just batter and no chicken, the egg fried rice tasted horrible and had a tecture like it had been heated up in a microwave several times, the chips were barely cooked and stone cold and the chilli shredded chicken was mostly just green peppers and onions! The bin had the chinese in the end and we had toast. Dont order from here and save your money.

I had a special curry and the meat wasn?t cooked when I bit into one of the meats my mouth was full off blood would share a picture but it?s all chewed up disgusting will not be coming back disappointed as this was my favourite place to eat
