The service here is awful. There?s always this one tall guy with glasses who just obviously doesn?t care. The amount of times I?ve had to find him and asked to get served is insane.

Very good local mid-sized store. It has a good fresh fruit and veg section as well as a big range of chilled produce and some frozen. Newspapers and magazines and a cash-machine.

Just related to customers service.
This afternoon (Sun 19 Jan) I was in Co-op Bear Flat and waited by an empty counter (not unusual and no big deal) for a couple of minutes. Girl arrives, no eye contact, no ?hello?, no ?sorry to keep you waiting?, no nothing. First (& only) piece of communication was telling me how much I needed to pay. No ?thank you?, no ?would you like a receipt?, no ?have a good day?, nothing.
I do wonder what training is given, do Co-op emphasise a welcoming atmosphere, do they care about customer service? It doesn?t appear so at the Bear Flat branch. We are regular customers, rarely let down by the quality of the produce but regularly receive terrible customer service. If I had a more convenient option I would definitely use it.
I am not expecting a red carpet but I do expect common courtesy and some effort and understanding of customer service.

unfortunately for me this is my closest food shop. the staff are really rude and unfriendly and will just ignore you when you're on self scan and need an item cleared.

The counter seems almost never staffed so unless you are paying self-checkout you have to search around the store for a member of staff to serve you. Better to go a bit further up the road to Tesco.
