Vile people, 1 mile outside the catchment area so didn't want to know, only place with space for miles around but told us just to abuse the stray cat we found untill it runs away, place needs shutting down.

Great shelter that helped us adopt our sweet kitten. They were thorough with their checks and super helpful with the process. Sure we'll be back again one day and would definitely recommend.

BCDH put the animals first and genuinely care about the wellbeing of those in their care. The staff are friendly, professional and understanding. They have lots of volunteers that just love all the animals and help give them the attention and love they deserve. They even have volunteers that are there simply to cuddle the animals! The facilities are clean and well looked after. They take time to vet and match animals to rightful homes and it's becuase of this they have low return rates. Anyone leaving a low star review should understand their process, their website says it all and the staff take time to explain things too - it's all about the wellbeing of the animals and it always should be, you can't simply walk in and feel entitled to have whichever animal you please! Well done BCDH for all you do for the animals!

The staff and volunteers here really care about their animals. We've adopted two beautiful girls who were found abandoned in a terrible state. Freya and the rest of the team nursed them back to health and have continued to be helpful and supportive after we adopted them. We came all the way from Cardiff and we recommend them wholeheartedly. They have excellent facilities which are fit for purpose and I was amazed at how quiet and calm the animals are. Thank you all for the work you do.

After filling in the form to adopt a dog, then taking photos we were basicly turned down as our fences weren't high enough to stop my neighbours leaning over to stroke the dog which would bite her because all the dogs up there bite!!! Never heard such rubbish.

Very Unimpressed with the level of communication regarding our application We were encouraged by the amount of choice on there site ao completed the application form Sadly spent loads of our time trying to chase up and speak to someone regarding our application, left countless messages informing them of times we would not be avaliable they clearly did not read them as contacted me on dates I was unavaliableI was left so frustrated and stressed by the experience that we decided to search else whereFrom my personal experience I would avoid this centre!!

WOOF WOOF The most amazing rescue center (more a halfway house) as I ended up coming away with my forever friend after a very professional and extremely lovely service. Exceptionally clean(the staff hmm ) even if you're not looking to re-home I'd still recommend a visit to their website. You may think I work there! I will reassure you I don't. Please meet the beautiful Gizmo.

For the past 20-odd years or so, we have always bought our kittens from the Bath Cats and Dogs Home. They are well looked after whilst there. The current £100, pays for neutering, vaccinations and most importantly, microchipping. They also have older cats, who are super friendly. There is no cafe or shop on site, but you can buy 'bits & bobs' for your pet. They also accept donated blankets and towels (but not duvets, pillows or cushions). You can also donate money, which helps to keep the animals cared for, especially with the cost of living, and the unfortunate dumping of pets. ???
