Cute little pharmacy that is England's oldest continually running pharmacy/ apothecary shop. The smell reflects this, but it's such an interesting place to look around, and the staff is very friendly.

Probably the best stocked pharmacy in the country with probably the most helpful staff.

Cute little sundry shop in Bath with lovely bath powder, lotions, etc. Was looking for a nice hairbrush and the proprietor offered one that was beautiful but tres cher! Two employees seemed to be hovering quite a bit - watching for shoplifters? Who knows? But it was fun to browse the tight aisles of this drugstore.

I went to the pharmacy this afternoon to get an antihistamine for a recurring skin reaction. I was itchy and fed up - but the person serving me was more interested in his laptop and what he was working on. I asked him if he could give me his attention while I explained what I wanted. His reply was that he could focus on more than one thing at a time! Clearly, customers aren?t important enough to give his exclusive attention to. I was desperate though for some relief and was explaining that I didn?t want cortisone as it made my skin peel and flake. As I was explaining he told me he was trying to tell me what I needed but I wasn?t listening to him (to be interpreted as: Shut up and listen!) Wow! He needs to know that every customer is an ASSET and everything else in his business is a LIABILITY. I am an asset - and deserve better service! Having recommended the antihistamine he then tried to sell me a cream - although I said I didn?t want yet another cream that would cause a reaction until I?d seen the doctor. Nevertheless, he was persuasive and got me to buy it. £29 later, he was still trying to get me to buy a ?soothing cream? as well as some tablets to boost my immune system. He clearly had no interest in helping distressed customers who are suffering from something that has motivated them to come to a pharmacy. He just wants to sell more products. This pharmacy is all about SALES and its priority is NOT CUSTOMER SERVICE. I will go back tomorrow to try and get a credit for the unused and unwanted cream (btw I didn?t get a receipt after I paid) and will avoid this place in the future. It?s a shame, as it?s in a wonderful building?

Really helpful, nothing is too much trouble. And an emporium of products available too.

Bad experience all round. I visited this chemist to collect a prescription and the guy serving was asking intruding questions about my healthcare. Initially he tried to overcharge. I recently got double the prescription for half the price at boots. Do not recommend.
