Went for food and drink there and was sat in side had a full drink and had a wasp land in the drink, went up to the bar to say that there was a wasp in the drink and was spoken to rudely.the barman?s first response was you will have to pay for another drink I?m not given you one before I even had the chance to ask for another drink! Very disappointed would not go back as felt the staff were unapproachable and unfriendly

Lovely atmosphere and cosy modern pub. Fab customer service. Was a busy night with an event happening when we visited so was a little slow to be served food but they did a great job.

The food was just ?ok?. Nothing special considering the extensive menu. The grilled chicken and pasta , both items were tiny portions. On top of that I wanted it without the pesto and was told that you had to have everything that was in the pasta as the menu. This was due to the fact they cook it all in bulk and then reheat as people want it. You couldn?t see any tomatoes, mozzarella balls, they were mushed in. I eventually choice the duck salad, there was little duck and I couldn?t taste anything in the salad due to so much sweet dressing. I had to press out the salad with my fork before trying to eat it there was so much on it. Staff were nice and the pub atmosphere nice but the food really has to change I think.

Never before have I had to leave a restaurant due to rude and unprofessional staff. What was supposed to be a relaxing lunch with family turned out to be the worst experience I have ever had in a restaurant! I have visited a few times before and had wonderful food and service but today was far from that! Plus the website gives no email to write in my formal complaint!
In response to your reply James, firstly thank you for getting back to me, I do appreciate it. I?m please to hear you have cctv of the exchange. Let me respectfully correct you, we were at no point asked to leave, that is not true, we chose to leave due to the way the situation was handled. I was under the impression that if a 16/17 year old (which he is) is allowed to have a drink with a meal with adults, and we ordered your lunch deal. I fully respect that your restaurants policy is to not adhere to this but my dissatisfaction was not with your policy it was the way we were treated and spoken to about this misunderstanding. Your comment about verbal abuse I do not understand, it was expressed at the time we were not happy, and if anything I said upset your staff that was not my intention. I simple felt the situation was handled poorly and in an unprofessional manner, I did not want any of this, I simple came for some food and drink and did not realise your policy rules. I implore to revisit your cctv and listen to the exchange, please.
I am happy to call and speak about this, like I said I would like to have emailed you directly about my concerns but was unable to find an email address on the website, hence reaching out here.

We dropped in here on a Friday afternoon for lunch whilst on our way down south. We had 2 dishes from the lunch menu and one kids meal. All meals were delicious. Great food and great service. Thank you!

Just trying to order some food and met with hysterical laughter because I asked what a Spanish food was. The pair of them thought it was hilarious that I didn't know what is was. They weren't laughing with me, their arrogance was pretty shocking.

Great location, decent food, and overall good vibe.
Had accidentally left the bill in my pocket and was about to throw it when I realised they added ?Discretionary 10%? service charge without asking me! Why call it discretionary if you don?t give the customer a choice? We were in a hurry to leave so went up to the till to pay. There was no prompt on the card terminal for me to add a tip and the chap who took the payment did not bother asking.
They charge pretty high for average tasting food - £19 for fish and chips, and £18 for a burger. The next time if you want a tip, ask the customer!

What an amazing place, gorgeous food, lovely atmosphere and wonderful staff who were so accommodating. I loved the different 'George' names of the rooms and the room was well stocked and comfortable.
The two dogs who greeted us were friendly and polite to us and our terrier. They are off lead in the pub though so if you don't like dogs, or have a dog not keen on others then this might not be the place for you!
We'll definitely be back if we're in the area again, thank you guys :)
