Backwell Indian has always been a reliable and friendly place. They have been very generous to me over the years (esp the two ladies who serve customers). The food is as good as can be expected. The only small complaint is the nann breads have literally reduced in size by 50%.

I've read lots of reviews and many people are saying how late there food was. I can see why because I've been sat outside in the car and watched the delivery guy chatting to his wife/partner for the past 15mins after he put the food in his car boot!

Surprised at the negative reviews... food absolutely bloody delicious. I ordered the lamb phall curry (the hottest curry available- not on the menu but if you call them and request it, they'll make it!)--- simply divine, the lamb was so tender and succulent. Everything else I ordered was perfect.. delivered very fast, delivery driver very lovely and friendly. Will definitely order again!P.S- the "phall" curry is extremely hot! ? not for the weak!

First and last time here. Tasteless food.I had the chicken chat and prawn puri as I did not have enough cash as they do not accept card. Chicken chat was a poor man's version of a chicken tikka masala. If it was described as such, I would not have ordered. Poor quality defrosted chicken I am guessing was used in the chat. Prawn puri was slightly better but the puri was very greasy. The prawn puri was crammed into a small container.Worst was the service. No greetings and no smile. Normally would have asked for recommendations but not with this guy behind the counter. Best to leave him alone was my judgement. I noticed this same lack of interest from the person behind the counter when other customers came in through the door. Because you are fasting doesn't mean that you have to make the customers suffer also.Eating in the car.Ate in the car as I was passing. Having to drive with the windows open just to get rid of the bad smell.
