Excellent Sunday lunch with a few quality beers.
We thoroughly enjoyed the roast pork which was deliciously tender and had proper crackling. Our friends were very happy with their beef and chicken plates. Splendid selection of fresh vegetables completed a lovely meal.

This is a great pub, fantastic atmosphere and really good locally brewed (at the the pub itself) beer. The food is excellent, good sized portions and the puddings are divine. They also do GF options. Would highly recommend.

The new landlords at the White Hart certainly know their stuff. The beer and food offerings are excellent. Every time we go in there we get a warm welcome to what is a quintessentially the British pub we all love. It is so good to have an excellent choice of superb craft beers that are constantly changing AND they are starting their own micro brewery soon. Cant wait. We have enjoyed every meal we have had so far. I am not a Burger fan but these are top notch and my missus loved the fishfinger sandwich with great chips!! Always an interesting choice of specials and yesterday had we had Moules which were lovely. A gorgeous beer garden at the back to enjoy this wonderful summer we are having. We have also enjoyed some live music nights and we are looking forward to the upcoming quiz. Highly recommended.

Fabulous pub, delightful owners?. Food delicious & beer brewed on site?. Oh a beer menu?. Wonderful? not bad for a lunchtime .. managed to try 4 ales?. The mussels & frites so good? & the trio of local sausages were amazing
Great location & so inspiring to see people so passionate about what they do so well.

This is everything a pub should be. The interior was very clean and comfortable. The staff so very helpful we asked if they could do takeout this was something they didn?t offer but said if we provided our own containers they would do it. When we arrived to collect the food we were asked what type of beer would we like on the battered fish. The chef had made a special trip to obtain cartons for the takeout. The food was excellent all eight in our party said how much they enjoyed it. This is a first class establishments l only wish l lived closer and there was somewhere as good in the village l lived closer in. The people of Cross are very lucky to have a traditional pub serving proper pub grub.

An absolute gem of a local pub! The staff and regulars are incredibly friendly, creating a welcoming atmosphere from the moment you walk in. There?s a great variety of drinks on offer, with something to suit every taste.
We had what was probably the best burger, coleslaw and chilli loaded fries we?ve enjoyed in a long time?absolutely delicious!
It?s been fantastic to watch this place go from strength to strength over the past few weeks. So pleased to see it becoming more and more popular?it truly deserves the recognition.

What an absolute gem of a country pub! From the moment we arrived, we were greeted with a warm, genuine welcome from the friendly staff, who couldn?t do enough to make us feel at home. The pub itself has such a cosy, charming atmosphere, with the added bonus of being completely dog-friendly ? our four-legged friend was spoiled with treats and fuss the whole time!
The garden is simply wonderful, a perfect spot to relax on a sunny afternoon. It?s beautifully kept, spacious, and has a really laid-back feel, ideal for both families and dog owners alike.
The beer selection is outstanding, with a fantastic range of local ales, craft beers, and a few special surprises on tap. Whether you?re a beer enthusiast or just fancy something refreshing, there?s definitely something for everyone.
As for the food ? absolutely fantastic! Every dish we ordered was cooked to perfection, with fresh, high-quality ingredients and real care put into every plate. It?s the kind of place where you can tell the kitchen genuinely takes pride in what they serve.
All in all, it?s the kind of pub you visit once and immediately start planning your next trip back. A true countryside treasure!
