Had the Sunday carvery today have to say it was very disappointing. Hardly any meat, vegetables were poor. Dessert was not up to previous standard. Will not be going there again and would not recommend for the money..shame..

What a gem! Nicki, Ian and all the staff were super friendly and welcoming, went above and beyond to look after us. We stayed for a night and had an evening meal and breakfast.
Gorgeous food- we had the most delicious chicken and chorizo homemade pies and a lovely breakfast. Wonderful setting and our room was stunning and spacious. Thank you!

Just been to the old hand and diamond for a bit of lunch, I had the scampi and chips, my partner had the lasagna, absolutely delicious with plenty of salad, definitely coming back to try the carvery thank you for a lovely meal

Just had lunch there and it was below average. Ordered two panini, they got the order wrong with one. When it came it consisted the worst type of panini bread (the pale one with griddle marks painted on), a little ham, which was nice and melted cheese. It was accompanied by anaemic looking chips which could have done with a second fry and a side salad thrown on with large chunks of onion. I thought we had left that sort of food behind.

Staff are very friendly and helpful. We had our Sunday lunch to take away (just moved to the area so busy unpacking). The carvery was lovely - The red cabbage was just amazing..YUM!! Our 9 month old daughter also had the time of her life with her dinner so thank you all!? Highly recommend.

Booked in for a Sunday roast, carvery was OK, I think as we were tailend of the end of the day, it would have been nicer earlier on, understandably.
No issue with the food at all, service was a bit poor.
The thing that blew us away, was we had 2 pints of cordial squash, and they charged £2.40 each for them. We drink squash out a lot, and have never ever experienced a price like this before. I even asked if it was correct as I was so shocked to be charged nearly £5 for 2 glasses of squash. Personally wouldn't go back for this reason, and although one member of staff knew what was going on (in general) a lot of other members of staff didn't seem to have a clue (kept ignoring us, when clearly ready to order.). Shame as we thought we found a new local place to become a go to for a carvery.
