An ideal pub for disabled people and the decor was lovely inside. However the food was hugely disappointing. The Thai red curry was so salty I could nt eat it ,it was served with aubergines within a batter which was greasy. I only had 2 mouthfuls and had to send it back.I then chose Belly Pork which was okay but not nothing to write home about. My mum had Scampi with chips with the skins on which were not great. They served it then with a few lettuce leaves. Mum would have enjoyed peas which is the usual accompaniment with Scampi?
My son had no qualms about his burger which was something.
We paid the full price, they took nothing off the bill even though I had to wait ages for my meal to come out. My family had almost finished their food, hence I will not be going back to this pub.

Spent about an hour here for a drink. Nice atmosphere with outdoor seating which was appreciated on a nice day. However no Guiness and no proper Coca Cola are negatives.

Macaroni cheese 7.8.25 - not as described penne pasta with white sauce served warm. Completely disgusting and inedible. Was returned and cheese put on and reheated. Turned into stodgy mess. Disgusting

One if not the best Sunday dinners we have had in a long time. Every mouthful was a taste explosion. Pork roast to die for and succulent beef. A hidden gem. Thank you.

For anyone who knows me I am really fussy about restaurants, including food and service. We stayed at The Old Rectory and they recommended the Tilly Raven. What a superb choice. Clean, light and airy with an open plan aspect.
Starters I wanted mussels but they didn't have any so I had the mushrooms. Not your usual button mushrooms but shitake and oyster mushrooms, a well known starter elevated to the next level. My husband had the cauliflower, apple and cheese soup. Sounds gross, but trust me, it was sensational. Good amount of dipping bread with it too.
Mains - I had the pork belly on black pudding mash. The pork belly was perfect. Beautiful crackling top. The only thing was the black pudding mash was too stodgy for me, so I only managed half. My husband had the beef brisket on mustard mash. He ate it all and said it was lovely.
Desserts - I wanted the apple crumble but the were out of it. My husband had the sticky toffee pudding. Good size portion and probably the best I've ever tasted (yes, I did steal some from him)
Service great. The only thing that let the atmosphere down a bit was the clairvoyant booked to perform there who set up right next to us, who sat with his arms folded but regularly looking at his watch. Made me feel uncomfortable especially with the cash tin open, like at a car boot.
Other than that, Tilley Raven you were amazing. Thank you very much.
