Lovely old village pub, which although refurbished still includes character and atmosphere. Great food, varied choice catering for all dietary requirements. Well presented plates, and helpful waitress.

We stayed in Myddle for a few weeks dog and house sitting for friends. This delightful pub became our local. Sunday lunch was great and plentiful with delicious flavors. Reservations are required for Sunday but easy to make via phone or in person.
Good selection of local beers and good wine list too. An outdoor beer garden in the back and parking up front round out a fantastic local pub.

Lovely pub and restaurant with very friendly waiting staff and delicious food. Great range on the menu, haven?t been disappointed by any meal so far! Reasonably priced with good vegetarian options as well. Garden is dog friendly.

Checked what time serves food to supposed to be 3pm walked in at 13.45 and said chef turned of the fryers which didn?t matter as we only wanted a sandwich! They must deep fry there sandwich?s!!! Wont ever be back and will certainly bad mouth the red lion to all my friends family and colleges.

We had a party in the upstairs room for my brothers 60th birthday. The buffet was really good with sandwiches, quiche, warm sausages rolls, chicken legs and chips. Great evening.

Good location, nice place but no atmosphere, especially as it was Christmas Eve.
The main course of turkey (my choice)
was 3 slices of breast meat that had been under a heat lamp so the top slice was a bit dry. A few sprouts, roasties, a split carrot and parsnip and ONE small pig in a blanket. Pudding was ginger sponge, more like a slice of thin dry cake topped with a small ball of ice cream.
The starter was the best of the three courses, but sparse.
I was a family guest so it wasn't my place to comment but I was disappointed, for me and them.
