A great place for a special meal beautiful building a bit out of the way in a small village...quite expensive compared to our usual places...
The gardens are amazing out the back, don't miss...they even have a donkey right up the back of the gardens....

Great friendly service, they were super accommodating to each of our preferences. The food was amazing too. If you don't go for the food just the friendly service and décor make you feel like you're in a homely family cottage in the country side

Rooms were proper nice and the bathroom was massive. Staff were decent, I understand why the prices are high as it's a wedding venue.
Nothing to do in the area but again, understandable as its in tbr middle of nowhere.

Visited today for Sunday lunch on our way back from the safari park, Ive followed them on social media for some time and really wanted to try it out.
We managed to get a table for 2 without reservations and ordered the beef & pork Sunday lunches, I was put off by the £2.50 supplement on the already £22 rump lunch or £28 deal, now it?s advertised as a completed roast already with no need for sides, and charging that price it?s definitely aiming itself at the top end of the price range.
What arrived was somewhat disappointing, one slice of belly pork rolled with stuffing, very tight on the meat front indeed, mash potato with too much garlic, roast potatoes that had become dry and too firm to be fresh, a disappointing pork scratching labeled as crackling, and the vegetables on a small plate overcooked and stingy (overcooked brocccoli, boiled parsnips, roasted carrot & a spoonful of cabbage). A complete dinner this was not.
Advertising yourself and pricing yourself at the top end then serving todays meal left a bitter taste with us and had us feeling cheated

Quirky and full of character. Friendly staff and great food.
Rooms: Lovely room, clean, warm. Very comfortable bed. Light and airy.
Food and drinks: Had the homemade lasagne which was delicious.

Incredibly good food, been a couple times now and the service is great and their chef is exceptional. I honestly rate this place as the best pub this side of Shrewsbury.
