Decent food but service was poor.

As soon as we arrived at pizza express there was a lack of front of house, meaning myself, partner and two younger children were left to wait in a queue as there was nobody there to greet us. The queue continued to grow and it Took a good while before being seen to. After sitting at the table, we were left 15 minutes, I got up to speak to a staff member and told her that it had been explained to us that there was an approximate wait of up to 45 minutes for food, however we had been sat for 15 minutes and nobody had been to take a drinks order- I was told to ?bare with her a minute? despite already waiting 15 minutes. This particular member of staff didn?t return to us. Another lady (with blue/green hair- didn?t catch her name, sorry) came to us and took our order. (She saved the evening) after ordering, we did. Have quite a wait, which was explained to us- disappointed with our food, we both ordered pasta dishes and a side of garlic bread. As you can see from the pictures, food was burnt, pasta was chewy from being over cooked and the garlic bread was also very burnt. Such a shame after waiting such a long time. The lady that served us, as previously mentioned, saved the evening for us- such a shame tonight as we were out celebrating my partners daughters 6th birthday.
Kid-friendliness: The lady that served us was excellent. She went above and beyond to help us celebrate the little girls birthday.

Just getting over three days of food poisoning! Looking back that was the last thing I ate and I don?t think the meat on my Pizza was cooked properly.Of coarse nothing to be done about it maybe look into kitchen hygiene and food preparation apart from that never had a problem service is excellent and always prompt.

Delicious fresh well prepared food. Peter the manager was a joy, very attentive and caring.
Great choice for a lovely lite lunch, not too busy or hectic, plenty of tlc. Will be returning promptly.

Pizza not my first choice for a meal

Great food here, as expected for a pizza express! Take friendly and attentive staff, manager definitely has his head on his shoulders! Clean restaurant, fast service, great location, highly recommend!

Ordered online for delivery at 18.42. Received email notification saying delivery at 19.53. Arrived at 19.55 ... on opening the box, the pizza was stone cold. Looking at the delivery note attached to the box Just Eat pick up was at 19:09. So no wonder it was cold .. it had been out for delivery for 46 minutes!! Pretty poor really .. what we could eat of the pizza was like rubber... note to self ... next time use the local Dominos! Very disappointed in Just Eat's service and not good for Pizza Express's reputation
