The cafe has terrible customer service.
Their system can?t handle a customer asking for extra items off their menu.
I asked for Poached Egg on toast with extra bacon and salmon ( as per their menu).
What they brought out was not what I wanted or ordered.
Even though I spoke to the manager I was told I couldn?t have both, even though I was prepared to pay.
Eventually they brought me the meal without the salmon.
I suggested that they change their system as they now have an unhappy customer and have lost a potential sale.
As a retired Hospitality Manager I would not advise anyone to go to Marks and Spencer café in Telford.
I have since spoken to the head office customer services who will be investigating my complaint and passing it to the regional management.

Went with elderly relative she had bacon bun with a bowl of chips which looked lovely, I had the supposedly beer battered cod and chips with chips and petit pois (peas) I'm sorry to say the food served was definitely not beer battered it was more a crunchy over done bread crumb consistency and not very tasty at all ,the peas had little dents in them which resembled little green golf balls the chips were OK and the ketchup was lovely, the staff were all wonderful and friendly ,I felt very sorry for them with a very busy full cafe only one lady wiping tables and also serving meals at the same time, one customer must have felt sorry for her as she grabbed the cleaning fluid and cloth from a unit and cleaned her table herself in heinsight I should of done the same our table was ring stained from drinks and quit sticky,overall staff were lovely but run off their feet and food was horrible we will not be eating there again unless quality of food changes, very disappointed as this was supposed to be a treat for relative...

Sadly, it?s a disappointing review for the café in Telford... sorry, guys.
First, a quick shout-out to the staff: they?re all super friendly, professional, and genuinely great. Not a bad word to say there, though you shouldn't force them to serve terrible quality, decadently named food with a smile on their face !
Right, the food. Oh dear. My daughter had a ham sandwich made with something described as an ?oil-based spread.? What on earth does that even mean? I can tell you; it means two wasted pieces of bread, wasted ham, and a child looking at me as though I?d just tried to feed her crude oil on toast. On reflection, I probably did.
Along with our shell-sponsored sandwich, I had a katsu chicken salad. We also grabbed two cakes and two bottles of water. The total? Around £20.
Overall, it was a genuinely disappointing culinary experience. This isn?t just disappointment ? this is Marks & Spencer disappointment.

Went today ordered omelette with chilli. Toast with butter and 2 pots of tea.was so disappointed as the omelette looked like a slab of fried egg served on a bun with chilly spread and a few pieces of rocket the only thing that gave it any taste was the rocket . The toast came with 1 square of butter for 2 rounds of toast. On the plus side there was enough tea and milk for 2 cups of tea each . On the reflection I would not recommend or use again.

Good large store with a decent foodhall and nice cafe. Perfectly wheelchair accessible, no issues moving it about.

I visited M&S, on Monday 27th of Jan 2025.
I used self service till for 2 items no problem.
I then proceeded to food hal.
I picked up 2 items and bagged myself, and another pre- packed item.
I then looked at choice of wines in same section, after choosing items I proceeded to till.
Assistant at till was having a conversation with previous customer.
During which I did make eye contact with assistant, put near self service tills, when we both observed, that assistant on till I was waiting at, had no interest in serving me.
After waiting, I could not wait any longer and abandoned my would have been £15.00 shop.
I feel customer service at thus till was zero, and as a result, I will not shop here in future.
Sad reflection on Customer service skills.

You can't really beat marks and Spencer for it's quality and customer service but the telford store itself is a throw back to days gone by and does need some love and refurbishment to improve it's shopping experience.

Went into have a cuppa in the cafe
Couldn't believe what I was about to see
A sigh saying DISH WASHER NOT WORKING thought it was a joke until they told me everything will be severed on throwaway cups and plates
I'm sure they're not all stupid and can wash up or it it above them to do that task ?

We visited the cafe for food and was extremely disappointed. The jacket potato was luke warm and the eggs Benedict was not hot and drowning in hollandaise sauce. We didn't say anything as we already had to correct the cashier twice when we were paying as she had given us the wrong drinks. She did apologise for this. We also had to clean the cutlery as it was grubby. For £54 we were expecting better quality food and service.
