First time I went into this pub, I am moving into the area, very friendly, locals were welcoming, got talking to Emma the landlady, lovely lady, who unfortunately will not be there once I move, very homely feel too.

This was just across the road from our Airbnb in Coalbrookdale. Traditional pub with good range of cask ale. Dog friendly.
Sadly for us, the kitchen was closed for refurbishment and isn't expected to reopen until October.

Really good pub, good beer and friendly service. They do limited food which is basic but cooked well, primarily this is a village pub where people go for a beer and a chat and as that it is excellent.

Booked Sunday Lunch over Easter on recommendation of owner of Airbnb we were staying in ..was absolutely first rate .We both ordered beef ..came on a large sharing platter, lots of meat, cooked to perfection, roasties, stuffing balls, dish of dauphinoise potatoes and dish of carrots, green beans, leeks & cabbage and a lovely large jug of gravy ...we ate the lot ..minus 1 Yorks Pud ...we also managed a sweet..apple crumble & custard and salted caramel sponge and custard.Friendly and attentive service & hot plates too ...excellent, will return on our next trip .Well Done ! ?

Excellent Sunday roast - plenty of hot veg & roast potatoes, served on a sharing platter. Pork & beef cooked perfectly: scrumptious veggie option. Staff were attentive and friendly. Fabulous characterful pub. Will visit again.

Food & drinks: They have lovely food here, and the best and Sunday dinners, are so, nice I would give it 10 out of 10 and I love coming to this pub and I have made lots of new friends here and the land lady and her husband are so nice
