Have used argos for 40 + years. Telford is my nearest store and I have had nothing but the best customer service. All ways get a please and a thank you from the staff. Have had larger items delivered and again excellent service. On time and polite helpful delivery men .

My wife came in today to take back a Dyson hairdryer as I had ordered the wrong one as my daughter needs the diffuser attachment a she has curly hair. They refused to take it back as they said it had been opened, yet we didn't even actually take it out of the packaging. She was also spoken to like dirt by employees that have no manners when we were going to order the more expensive one with the attachments anyway.

I had ordered a Christmas tree online for collection. I parked right outside the front door in the disabled section as I have mobility issues. I went in and walked towards the collection desk. A staff member had noticed me come in and approached me, asking if I had a collection code on my phone. I gave this and they input it into their hand-held device. They said to wait by the collection desk. It wasn't overly busy and within a couple of minutes my collection was ready. I was struggling to lift the box using one arm as although not overly heavy, it was big and bulky and I was using a walking stick. The staff member who had taken my code came over and offered to carry the item to my car. It was only approximately 5m away but their gesture and help to carry and place the box in my car was so very much appreciated. I try to be as independent as much as possible, but thank you to the staff member for his help and assistance.

Problem with entrance door, so I ended up traveling twenty miles three days running before I could collect my already paid for my item, which cost ten pounds, cost more in time and fuel. Plenty of staff hanging around doing sod all!!! Won't bother using this place again. !!!!????

I had a terrible experience with this store on 24th November 2024. Despite their advertised hours stating they were open until 4 PM, the store was unexpectedly closed when I arrived to collect my item after receiving an email notification. I wasn't the only one?there were several frustrated customers who had wasted time and money, some on taxis like myself.
What made the situation even worse was the lack of communication. The store phone went unanswered, and the customer service hotline was an endless loop of automated messages with no real help.
This level of service is unacceptable. If you can?t adhere to your own hours or provide proper customer support, it creates a very negative experience for loyal customers. Very disappointed and unlikely to return.

Went into store to order and pay- without a click and collect or pre-ordering? what a mistake- the touch screen till didn?t produce a receipt, 20 minutes later and they still won?t give us our product. The attitude of the staff stunk. Ended up demanding a refund which was even more hassle than it was worth
Blonde ?manager? took far too long to get into any form of action to resolve the issue
Dark haired woman, had an extreme attitude issue and lacked any form of customer service competence.
Keep out stores alive- for what?!

I always loved shopping at Argos for electricals and other household items. Always a positive experience apart from the odd item not being in the best of shape, a lamp shade on that occasion. I don't know what's happened to this store I guess since Covid happened. The store feels empty and deserted. The first time I saw it, I thought is this store closing down!? There used to be a jewellery section in the store here that's all been packed away and just empty cupboards and shelves remain. The till area is empty, everyone's using the self service tills instead, or they've ordered online and are collecting an item. Lastly the collection point area is also a cold experience, customers just milling around or standing in groups, checking their phones, not knowing what to do with themselves whilst waiting to see if their item will appear from the cold and lifeless warehouse in the back of the store with only one member of staff going back and forth to collect each item and then calling out what the item is. The staff that are there in the store and there's only 2 or 3 I've seen on my visits. Usually 1 or 2 at the door and by the self service tills, assisting someone that's ordered an item online and the customer is showing their collection reference code or something to the staff member. No customer welcome, no staff to assist whilst in store, looking on the digital screens to find an item to purchase. No staff interaction when paying if using the shelf service, you have no choice most of the time no staff on the manned tills. A quick hello and goodbye when at the collection point area. That's the Argos experience in Telford. Very sad to see it like this now. Sadly I think sooner rather than later this store will be closed and transferred to a Sainsbury's like most have already done.
